Not worth the time. Art is bizarrely arranged by themes that are forced/invented and crowded on walls in this new style where you pick up a key to the room and have to look at a map of the wall to figure out what you are viewing. It was a wholly undatisfying experience.
They didn't get a Felton Bequest, and they don't have the iconic Australian paintings of the NSW Art Gallery, so they can't match Melbourne or Sydney, but I think the new curator has done very well, and I like the arrangements by theme and not chronology. This would not work so well on a large scale however. The Versus Rodin exhibit was worthwhile.
