According to Brazilian Federal Law 8,069/1990, minors under the age of 18 cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. This authorization must be notarized and signed by both parents. All minors under 18 must also present a valid identification document with photo, to prove their identity and that of their parents.
