Experiencing the mountains while staying in a historic village, where stone and wood are the protagonists, is a wish you can fulfill at MARGHERITA APARTMENT! This lovely apartment, set inside a typical Leventina Valley house, is located in Osco, a village that has stood still in time, surrounded by lush green meadows, grazing cows, and majestic peaks that offer breathtaking views. The living room welcomes you with a comfortable sofa, which becomes a double bed for the night, where you can watch a movie or chat and read after a day of hiking. Next door is the dining area, with a table for 4 and a wooden kitchen, complete with everything you need to prepare packed lunches for trips and dinners for relaxing evenings. The bedroom has two single beds, joined for couples, and a capacious closet for storing vacation wardrobes. A bathroom with shower completes the apartment. A towel set is included for each person, together with bed sheets and blankets; we also give you a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessary for a breakfast.  The house does not have private parking, but parking is available in Osco's free public parking lots.

Nearby: Osco is a picturesque village in the Leventina Valley where time seems to stand still among typical houses made of wood and stone, the wash house, the Municipal House.
Here it feels like being high in the mountains, albeit only 40 minutes from the nearest town, Bellinzona.  Faido, the largest municipality in the Leventina, can be reached in 13 minutes by car: here you will find 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that bakes typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher's shop and a dairy of local products. Among the most visited natural landscapes in the area are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, which are very popular with tourists in summer.
For mountain lovers, there are many hiking trails on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì, famous for its popular ski area during the winter, which can be reached in 15 minutes. Chironico, a major destination for climbers from all over Europe, is 25 minutes away: this is where many sportsmen come to boulder in the Bouldering Area created thousands of years ago. 
 How to get there: By car, either from the south (Bellinzona) or the north (Erstfeld) from the A2 highway take exit 43 - Faido towards Faido and set the GPS: in 13 minutes you will reach the apartment. By train, from Lugano or Bellinzona take the S10 train towards Airolo for 7 stops and get off at the "Faido" stop. From here take bus No. 118 direction "Osco, Paese" for 6 stops and get off at "Osco, Paese."
