Beijing Pudi Hotel, hotel in Beijing

Beijing Pudi Hotel features luxurious accommodation with 24-hour room service. It has a fitness centre, an indoor heated swimming pool and 2 dining options to choose from.

The quality is like a mediocre western hotel, something like 3 or 4 stars maybe. The rooms are spacious and the swimming pool is also not bad. All in all the hotel is ok if you have the right expectation. It's not a 5 star hotel. The main customer base are chinese customers. Quite limited English knowledge among the staff. I would not recommend this hotel if you don't speak Chinese.

Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing, hotel in Beijing

Modern luxury can be enjoyed at Park Plaza Wangfujing Beijing, within 13 minutes' drive of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

The hotel’s central location in the heart of Beijing City is the biggest attraction. There is even a train station next to it, which made traveling within the city area really convenient! There are also various restaurants and convenience stores that made our stay more convenient. The hotel staff were also pleasant and helpful although they don’t speak much English, it wasn’t a problem as we spoke Mandarin.

FAQs about hotels in Beijing

From Chinese Dynasties to Cultural Dynamics

A world-renowned gem, sprawling Beijing has magnificent monuments and peaceful parks. At its heart is the world’s largest square - Tiananmen, surrounded by important museums and the amazing Forbidden City. This 15th-century, walled complex of palaces neighbours Jingshan Park and Beihai Park with its imperial garden.

Opposite Tiananmen Square is the ultra-modern National Centre for Perfoming Arts, a beacon of the city’s culture so impressively displayed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the Bird’s Nest Stadium.

To its east is the UNESCO World-Heritage listed Summer Palace, a lakeside retreat of emperors, while also UNESCO listed is the grand Temple of Heaven in Chongwen district, where remnants of Ming dynasty city walls are visible. Nearby are several hutongs, narrow alleys whose traditional architecture contrasts with wider, modern roads including Beijing Financial Street, the city's business area.

The most popular Beijing shopping street is Wangfujing, and other must-see sights include the giant pandas at Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall of China, an easy day trip from Beijing.

As you would expect from the capital of the world’s most populous country, there are a good number of 5-star hotels in Beijing on Booking.com, mainly in the Dongcheng and Chaoyang districts. There are also several hotels near Beijing Capital Airport in the north-east.

Great city, definitely worth visiting. Totally different from Shanghai. It has a scent of ancient city, communism, capitalism, comfort, drive, and dzen type feeling. Interesting combination of all of the above together.

There's a lot to see and I was not disappointed by any of it. The biggest problem for me was booking into the main sightseeing spots - I had to use a guide to get tickets for Mao's mausoleum and the National Museum (Tianenmen Square) - both are worth seeing and I could easily have spent longer in the National museum (I recommend 3-4 hours at least). As a foreign tourist I did not need to book a slot in the Forbidden city but still used a guide to help getting tickets as none of these processes are very clear online (or well provided for in English). On a separate trip I saw the summer palace and Temple of heaven and I would recommend taking a similar route for booking as the online process can be challenging even for local Chinese tourists. For the Great Wall, Badaling is the easy/popular option (but crowded) - if you want the more adventurous parts to hike on that are less 'maintained for tourists' then guided tour is recommended as they can take you to parts that are more remote and also warn about dangers and suitability. Beijing food is an interesting departure from the food of Southern China that I am used to. They will tend to put less spice in for foreign tourists (even when asked to). Be ready for using Alipay in the metro rather than WeChat mini programs. The metro is not as modern as some of those in China - the inner loop has no escalators or lifts - and it is somewhat crowded but quite regular and well connected with the airport. Avoid Beijing in the Chinese national holidays (October 1st and Chinese New Year).

I visited China after a long time and was surprised with the development that has taken place in 5 years!!! incredible. Beijing is easy to travel as they have efficient subway system. All subway stations have convenient restaurants and stores. Prices for taxis, food and everything is reasonable. though I found hotel rooms to be more expensive than 5 years ago, almost doubled. I will visit China with family as there is so much to see there.

I visited the most part of the Temples but what I loved it was Bei Hai park. Beautiful as it could be and not crowded at all, so you can enjoy the day at peace. The public transport works well in Beijing but not a lot of people there speaks English (even though its not my first language) so it was quite hard to talk unless using some translator (google does not work there). I would avoid going during spring and summer time, its super hot and very dry, I felt dehydrated and quite dizzy most part of the days, visiting the great wall under 37 degrees (C) wasn't easy.

The hotel is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very polite. The lady who make up our room, 李风云 is very courteous and super friendly. Very commendable! I will give her excellent ratings! The location is within walking distance to Wangfujing Street, where you can find lots of places to shop and eat. Both Jinyuhutong Metro and Dengshikou Metro are within 8 mins of walking. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Beijing!
