I have been working in travel industry since 2000, from leading classical tour itineraries to customized off the beaten track trips of botanic, cultural, landscape photography to pilgrimage tours, I am a passionate trekker, botanical photographer, my wife and I have opened Karma Medun Boutique Guesthouse while still actively engaging in long distance road trips/ overland camping adventures through out Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.

Karma Medun Boutique guesthouse was established in 2024. It offers 9 upmarket rooms which set around a courtyard garden with a patio table in the middle of it. The accommodation is top-notch, with high-quality beds and bathrooms. Most rooms come with a bathtub, and a few even have a private balcony and a stove with lot of fire woods. The cozy communal lounge offers a local food menu and an impressive collection of whiskey, classic cocktails and imported craft beer. The guesthouse is run by a Tibetan couple who specialize in tourism. They offer a range of group tours, from cultural explorations to multi-day trekking and overland expeditions. They also cater to families, with car camping trips and botanical explorations.

There is no shortage of leisure activities in and around Shangrila, from multicultural diversity, sleepy mountain villages, giant Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, and rugged mountain scenery. We have Shangri-La Old Town, Pudatso National Park, Napa Lake, Mount Kawa Karpo, Othik Tso, and Gandan Sumtsen Ling Monastery. t
