Location! Essentially it was akin to a treehouse as the valley is so steep. Entry easy right from the driveway but then the property slopes down and away. From the deck edge it’s a good 20’ straight down. Looking out across into forest canopy. And the outside shower on the deck, divine! And the swimming hole!!! Perfection!!! WiFi access was solid. A/C worked like a charm, yay….

Perfectly located in the heart of the primary jungle, yet only 15 min (A 4X4 VEHICLE IS NEEDED) to the quaint surfing town of Dominical, 30 min. to Uvita (home to famous Whales Tail Beach) and 30 min. to San Isidro (second largest city in Costa Rica). Casitas Selvara is close to many local attractions, including natural wonders, wildlife, beaches, dining and entertainment.
This area is also known as the Valley of the Horses. Enjoy a stroll down the path to the private river access and you will encounter a small waterfall. The perfect spot for a picnic or a swim. Cool off surrounded by the natural beauty of the jungle. You can expect to see and hear both howler and white-faced monkeys. This area is also home to white tailed deer, sloths, cacomistle, iguanas, lizards, geckos, frogs, toucans, and countless other bird species. By night, the jungle is lit up by fireflies.​ ​
