With an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, the Makanda by The Sea Hotel Adults Only is in Manuel Antonio. Full breakfast is provided for free. This property is great. We travel a lot staying mostly in very good hotels - Makanda offers really unique experience of living like in jungles but with 5* facilities: beautiful jungle area with monkeys, birds, very nice pools, good bar and nice secluded wild beach with a few people only. The general vibes are very relaxed, great for couples and companies. We stayed in villa with beautiful view and pool (that was big and deep enough to swim, not just a formal one), not sure about other rooms. Would recommend renting a big villa if you travel with 4-5 people. Hope this hotel will keep it's privacy and won't get overcrowded

The park itself is amazing. My husband and I were in the area for 3-4 days and visited the park twice. The first beach is super quiet and the water is perfect. Definitely wear, or at least bring, a swimsuit to the park so you can dive in when it gets too hot. We spent 4 hours the first day wandering around and had only done half of the trails. I had seen mixed reviews on how long to allow yourself to explore and it really depends on you. We could have physically done the whole thing in a few hours but we were so enthralled with the sloths and monkey and plants that wandering slowly worked best for us. MP outside of the park is full of great restaurants and another beach as well. We can't wait to go back!
Lots of chance to see the various animals from the jungle area. The food was very expensive & sometimes parking was difficult. And remember Costa Rica is one of the worst places I have ever been for lack of traffic & travel signs. However saying that I find Costa Rica well worth visiting.
We were only here for 2 nights. We will be back. Great beaches, awesome animals in the Park, and excellent restaurants so long as you pick one away from the beach - the ones right by the beach are overpriced and underwhelming.
Be sure to take a guided tour through Manueal Antonio National Forest. You will see so much more wildlife than going without a guide. Also the food you can take into the forest is limited so check the restrictions before you go. We stayed up the hill from "downtown" Manuel Antonio so it was much more relaxed and quiet.
Manuel Antonio was the most beautiful of all the parks we visited. It had gorgeous beaches, lots of wildlife, and spectacular views of the ocean. Because of its beauty, it is a popular park, and thus quite crowded. The monkeys were fun to watch but will take your snack if you are not careful.
I stayed at both Hotel Coco Beach and Verde Mar. The locations to both were ideal. They were across the street from one another with coco Beach having a gate to the beach (I caught a monkey sharing the pool With some guests). I had an awesome tipico breakfast there as well! I was greeted at Verde Mar by some awesome staff, a giant iguana and an anteater hanging out in a tree! I nearly didn’t go to the park but I was so glad I did....but you HAVE to get the guide!! I did some diving, but wasn’t very impressed where we went..the marina in Quepos was cool and the dive boat/staff were awesome but I guess I might be a little spoiled in the diving world! The snorkeling at the park was nearly better!! Do not miss sunset on the beach! Pura Vida

I was told before I arrived by a local in Monteverde that this was the best resort in Costa Rica... and they weren’t wrong! Everything was PERFECT! The infinity pools, the view, the swim up bar, the food, the staff, the rooms... immaculate!! There is a free courtesy bus to take you to the National Park and there’s also a little beach cove about a 10 minute walk from the property which was stunning! The food at the restaurant was top notch and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back!

It is one of the best hostels in Costa Rica. - Nice staff - 2 pools, yoga zone and nice atmosphere. You can both party and relax. - Good wi-fi - Good location: 15 minutes walking from Espadilla Beach (a good relaxing walking with the nature, but there is a slope, so It is harder to go back. You can get the city bus and arrive in 7 minutes at the beach and 10 minutes at the park.) 25 minutes walking from Biesanz Beach (or less if you get a bus until a mall) Stores and other hotels (with food and party) nearby

The hotel is family run. They were all so friendly and welcoming. Fantastic English. They were very quick in replying to messages . The location is central and easy to get to Manuel Antonio park (takes around 20 minutes). We had the honeymoon tree top suite and the views from there are beautiful. Some days we were accompanied by monkeys with great photo opportunities. There is also the marina near by, walking distance around 10 minutes, with lots of restaurants there.

Just a few minutes walk from the park entrance so you can get there early. We left at 6.45 and were 5th & 6th in line for tickets, so had a decent visit before the crowds. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning, decent shower, and fridge in the room. Not the best hotel in Manuel Antonio, but ok for the price if just staying for 1 night to visit the park.

So close to Manuel Antonio. The staff arranged to find a qualified guide to the park picking us up at hotel. And he was qualified indeed! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Breakfast: tasty choices and excellent quality. And close encounters with sociable cara blanca monkeys by the pool..

The hotel is right in the jungle and we could see lots of wildlife from our room. Monkeys would play in the trees right off our balcony! It was also easy to walk to the beach and Manuel Antonio Park. The breakfast was good too.

It is well situated. 10 min away by foot form the beach and 20 min by foot away from Manuel Antonio National Park. So you can leave your car at the hotel the entire time.

Luxury rooms! The most beautiful beach in Costa Rica I have ever seen. It feels like you are in a great forest, no need to go to Manuel Antonio park.

This hotel is awesome! This is our second time staying at Sí Cómo No and both times we've had a great experience. The staff is super friendly and ver accommodating. The property is big with lots of gardens and they are all very well kept. Both pools have breathtaking views and plenty of food and beverage options which makes for a great time. We had a spa treatment and it was very good as well, caught a great deal which made it even better. Overall we totally recommend staying at this hotel.
