The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
Quepos, is right next to Manuel Antonio. I found it to be a cheaper stay than staying on the strip to the beach/park. Theres public transportation from quepos to manuel which leaves frequently. The food in town is great! With amazing prices. Found it Ideal for backpackers. Theres a few secret view points in town.
Choice of eating out venues wasn’t great. Seafront and harbour were nice, but no beach to sit on by the main town. Plenty of ATMs! Manuel Antonio has much more to offer. Good bus service and plenty of taxis. Great sunset from the beachfront.
We were a bit disappointed with the Manual Antonio Park, because it was so crowded and we did not see anything that we hadn't seen in other places in Costa Rica. Maybe if this had been the first Park we visited we would have liked it better but if you make a longer trip to Costa Rica I would avoid this park.
The chief reason to stay here is the proximity to Manuel Antonio. The town is a good place for a meal and some basic shopping but the beach is not swimmable due to sewage pollution. Several tour companies and rental car outlets are based here to service the area.
Quepos
Miguel surf camp is a spectacular place! It is a paradisiacal place with a unique beach right in front of us and perfect waves. Miguel and his family are wonderful people, very welcoming and always ready to help out. They prepared us delicious meals. Best place in costa rica and one of the best experiences of our life, we loved every second.
Nice spacious room but it was located next to the swimming pool where is loud music on until 10pm so if you need to have a rest or go to sleep earlier that’s not the right place to go. Unfortunately there was no warm water in the bathroom. The hotel is located a 10 minute drive from Quepos. We enjoyed the food - was really tasty.
What a beautiful lodge with the most amazing people. If you are staying anywhere near Quepos you HAVE to stay here. We were planning on staying two nights and immediately extended our stay to three nights. If you happen to have binoculars…bring them. Peaceful beauty with the best hosts in the world.
Quepos
Big, comfortable rooms with a decent sized pool. Lucky to see quite a few birds and animals on the property near the hotel though the trails were disappointing for fauna. Nearby Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve was fantastic for nature and animals though very very touristy
Quepos
Vegan breakfast was very good. Is nearby a bus stop to get to Manuel Antonio or Quepos. The AC was appreciated- it was very hot and humid so would've been hard to sleep without it. Bed was comfortable. Lockers were large and there were enough for everyone.
Quepos
This is the most chilled and friendly place we have visited in Costa Rica. The owners are super nice, there are dogs, cats, chickens and a parrot! :D they serve you coffee and fresh fruits everyday. Good place to visit everything around. Highly recommend.
Quepos
Centrally-located next to the bus station (20-min. bus ride to Manuel Antonio) and supermarket (2-minute walk), friendly staff (specifically Alison), easy check-in/check-out process, accepts credit card, very clean
The host was super nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. the hotel is right across the street from a good seafood restaurant and not far from the little town of Quepos.
Quepos
Nice small pool; affordable; friendly staff; clean. Bus station very close to the hotel and several dining options near by. The Hotel has its own cafeteria as well. They provide books and wifi.
beautiful surroundings. close walk to center of Quepos and bus station, maybe 10-15 minutes! Nice pool and open areas
Quepos
its the best place we stayed in costa rica
Quepos
Pictures don't do the Villa justice. It is absolutely stunning and in a wonderful location. However, what makes the stay truly remarkable is that staff. Johenny was truly remarkable and made us feel like we had our personal consierge. She helped us organized tours, a boat day, dinners, private chef dinners and massages at the villa, etc. It is only a 10-15 taxi ride to Manuel Antonio, but the location in the marina is great on it own.
Quiet place, nice swimming pool and great owner, old madame, who took us by car to the bus station, thanks.
