What a treat to exchange staying in your typical and somewhat boring hotel room for the adventure to sleep on a ship! Further, it felt like having a little adventure with friends: from receiving detailed instructions on how to get there, being greeted by our wonderful hostess Sabine and her gentle Great Dane, getting a personal tour of the ship, having all our special needs met (charging and securely parking our E-bikes, extra blankets, etc), to finally leaving after enjoying a lovely family-style breakfast. While many nights staying in hotel rooms fade away - this fun night on the ship will stay in our memory.

It is a barge. It is not meant to be 5 star accommodation but it was a wonderful experience to have. The hostess is charming and the boat is clean. The showers were hot. It is very close to the Mercedes Museum which is well worth the visit. You can buy a beer on board at very reasonable prices. I lreally enjoyed the experience.

The property was absolutely charming. If it’s rainy, it can be a little bit muddy and the approach… This is an old harbor, after all. The boat is comfortable. The beds are comfortable, and the hostess makes the whole stay even more pleasant.

Friendly staff who were happy to help and a good price to live in the middle of the city. The room had everything I needed and it was kinda cool to be able to look directly onto the river from my top bunk. The owners dog was nice too. You could buy drinks cold on the boat for reasonable prices which saved me a trip to the supermarket on a thirsty night.

An exceptional stay! If you want an adventure, consider staying on a boat instead of a hotel. The boat is ideally located to attend the Mercedes World museum, factories and stadiums. Sabine is a very warm, attentive and fun host. The beds are very comfortable, the boat itself is a piece of history you can touch, feel and enjoy.

Ich hab mich in den Schuppen echt ein bisschen verknallt - wenn man da morgens die Treppe hoch geklettert ist, und die Sonne in die Fenster des Bootshauses scheint, ist man doch sehr schnell in diese sehr besondere Bleibe verliebt. Bei den Stuttgarter Preisen wollte ich alternativ unterkommen und das ist mir hier wirklich gelungen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Viel Character und Stil. Gerne wieder!

Sabine ist die Seele der Ahoy und kümmert sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste. Mich zum Beispiel hat sie auf dem Weg zum Schiff mit Haltestellen und anderen Wegbeschreibungen versorgt; sogar hat sie mich von der U-Bahn-Haltestelle abgeholt, sodass ich den Weg zum Boot sofort finde. Das war einfach wunderbar und ich habe mich direkt zuhause gefühlt. Ich habe dazu jeden Abend Tee angeboten bekommen, sogar einmal eine Portion von etwas zu Essen; ich durfte mir für einen Tag ein Buch aus dem Schiff ausleihen und habe Tipps bekommen, wo in der Nähe tolle Restaurants sind. Das sanfte Schaukeln des Schiffes beim Einschlafen inklusive. Es war einfach mal was ganz anderes: Eine Erfahrung außerhalb des behüteten Hotellebens, eine Abwechslung, ja fast schon ein Hauch Abenteuer. Wer morgens seinen Chai-Latte mit Hafermilch und Cinnamon-Shot braucht, ist hier falsch. Bei Sabine gibt es das echte Feeling auf einem Schiff, mit allen Ecken und Kanten aber viel Herz. Ich würde es immer wieder tun.

Netradiční prostředí výletní lodi. I kvůli tomu jsem toto ubytování vybral. Hotelů, penzionů, apartmánů i ubytování se společnými prostory jsem zažil nespočet. Dva zážitky z hotelové lodi už jsem měl ze Stockholmu, proto tohle pro mě nebylo tak úplně nové. Nicméně dostal jsem, co jsem očekával, byl jsem spokojen. Doporučuji všem dobrodružným povahám 🙏 Potěšilo studené pivo v baru za příjemnou cenu do kasičky, milá a ochotná majitelka s výbornou angličtinou.
