Serafina is a unique refuge nestled within acres of organic farmland on the breathtaking North Coast of the Dominican Republic. This idyllic retreat is set against the unrivaled beauty of El Choco National Park and enjoys a cooling sea breeze that rolls off the nearby mountains. The Villa is a short drive from the spectacular beaches of Cabarete, while the river at the end of the property offers enchanting walks through the shallows amidst waterfalls and deep pools. Complete with a pool, events room, and kids dormitory, this stunning property is able to cater to all kinds of needs. Serafina is the main house and can be rented out in accompaniment with any number of the three casitas (guesthouses) or on its own. PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS FABULOUS VIEWS The views are spectacular from the verandas, surrounded by birdlife in the tops of the trees. MOUNTAIN BREEZE Serafina benefits from the mountain breezes and maintains a comfortable cool temperature compared to the coast. LOCAL ACTIVITIES The El Choco National Park is just across the road, and a short drive from the famous surfing beaches of Cabarete. In 2021, I helped Lotty and Micheal start the sustainable Farm Project SERAFINA to empower youth and families to regenerate healthy food, farming, social and natural systems starting with the basics, food on the farm. We invite all good people to visit us! You will be visiting a working organic family farm overlooking the Los Brazos Valley. We grow many different fruits and vegetables for a CSA and farmer's markets in a patchwork of cultivated and wild spaces. We have pygmy milking goats, laying hens, Jersey cows, and ponies. Our aim with Serafina is to offer a luxurious and tranquil spot fit for family holidays, mindful retreats, or business events alike. The outstanding beauty of the surrounding landscape provides a magnificent backdrop to the house, while the property’s immediate location within 80 acres of organic farmland makes for a truly idyllic spot.
The location within certified organic farmland gives it a charming homespun feel. The farm produces honey from the beehives, pineapples and other fruit from the orchard and organic vegetables from the polytunnels, while further out there is scenic cattle pasture. The Dominican Republic is a country of rich rainforest, sweeping beaches, and vibrant culture. We invite you to come and see what this incredible place has to offer and enjoy the devastating beauty of the North Coast of the island from the comfort of Serafina’s walls.
