Wifi was not working good. No small towels. No shampoo No conditioner. Tv was not working. No coffee No sugar No cream No mugs in room. No floor mat. Would really appreciate if there were some hand towels. No soap or no toilet paper. We had to ask for everything. These things should be in the room before hand.
What I liked most about Sosua is 3 beautiful beaches and the multiple choices of delicious authentic food from every region of the Caribbean. What I liked the least is all of the panhandling and begging from the locals....it could get a bit irritating!!!
I liked the location of my hotel. I liked the way the town is set up for easy walking to most places. The police are a pain in the butt, the are deeply, corrupt and haras people constantly. Some of the people are hustlers and continuously try to shake you down for money. The customer service at most restaurants and other places is totally non-existent. If they give you bad food or service, they don't care. They still want you to pay for it and leave a tip.
Sosua is great for getting away. You can find anything you want there: peace and quiet or lively night life. They have it all. Tons of expat restaurants with German, American and Canadian food. Just make sure you have patience as typical island service is very different form what westerners are usually used to.
There isn’t any other hotel I rather book than at coco hotel It’s is my hotel always I will never think twice about looking at other properties ever. Nice neighbourhood very close to beach it’s just amazing.
The tropical weather during the winter months in Sosua is great. The culture, energy and welcoming vibes from the Dominican people was wonderful. The food at the restaurants was surprising good especially for the prices. The government could improve the infrastructure in the town because there were lots of sidewalk obstructions, so it's best to always glance down while walking or you might twist an ankle or worse.
Absolutely everything! Fantastic, comfortable, fully equipped apartment in Sosua, less than a minute from two private beaches and 2 pools. The location is absolutely fantastic. It gives you both privacy and the taste of a luxury resort. The place is secure and very comfortable. We know we will be back soon and we definitely want to stay in this apartment again. The owner George and the administration Ludmila were always extraordinary helpful and answered all our questions and needs.
The girls that cleans, Jole, she is great she goes above and beyond cleaning the room. Also the girls at the bar are very friendly, while i was there my mother passed so i had to cut short my vacation and the girls were very comforting. I was supposed to leave on the 20th ut left on the 14th. All in all the hotel is great.
What an awesome hotel. Center of all the action! Very clean. Hot water and cold AC. The manager was phenomenal and told me the best beaches and restaurants to check out. The bar was also a ton of fun every night and the restaurant food was AMAZING! THANK YOU OBE. WHAT A PRO!
I always love the restaurant bar City that's attached to the hotel. Love it. Absolutely wonderful staff and always like family. If Casa Valeria is sold out on dates when I want to come I will not travel to sosua until rooms are available. Love this place and the people
I will have to stay at this property one more time before I recommend it to a friend. My first experience was not the best but I think it has the potential to be a good hotel.
The breakfast was fine, lot of options, potable water at the reception, good wifi, close to the beach, however these were the only good things of this hotel.
Size, cleanliness and amenities was way above average compared to other hotels in the area. Check-in and check-out was effortless and quick.
