As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Sipping fresh, local orange juice, whilst enjoying tasty tapas in a pavement café, is not to be missed.
Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.
The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.
Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.
As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city centre hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also offers guest houses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.

Valencia- nice city and for all those people who wants to travell should visit. There are a lot of restaurants, foodstreet where you can try Spanish food.. Valencia was my favorite stay in Spain. The food the people & atmosphere were unmatched. We took the best class at My First Paella Class and it was excellent. Traveling through the town was very easy and a pleasurable experience. We left town for a day to Montanejos Rio and the water was beautiful. I’d love to come back!

Great contrast between old (Town) and new. The Cathedral, Tower and Central Market are all worth a visit as is the vast Park the borders a large proportion of the Town. The Art and Science museums along with the Oceanographic Park are excellent and are easily reached on a number 95 bus @ a cost of 1 Euro 50 each. Allow two days to see all three. Valencia is a beautiful city with stunning views, history restaurants and bars. I felt completely safe walking travelling alone and staying for four days. People are very helpful. Beautiful shops, food markets, cathedrals. Very short taxi ride from airport which cost no more then 25 euros. Small markets selling everything you could wish to buy. We loved the old town, the town hall, the central market and the Cathedral. Also the Church of St. Nicholas was fantastic. We had 2 days in the city of arts and sciences, to see the museum of sciences and the oceanografic. A beautiful City, full of culture, superb architecture and fine cuisine. You never have to walk far to find a high quality restaurant. None of the establishments we frequented were more than a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. I’d particularly recommend Dodo, Puerto del Mar, Espurnes and Secret.
