The place is a family owned, Kirsi was a wonderful host, she helped us on many occasions during our stay. You may find this place right for you if you want to live in the forest, far away from the noise and big cities. Especially if you like fishing. We came specifically for fishing and were satisfied with results! There is a small city nearby, where you can buy groceries. At one point my father got a fishing hook stuck in his finger, really bad. Kirsi told us the name of the hospital in the city nearby, we went there and a doctor removed the hook, real fun (200 euro).

The cottage was excelennt, with the lake, forest, and absolute peace and queit. Outdoor sauna- perfection! Bikes for driving auround the nice forest ways, kids outdoor space with swings and sand box. Communication with the owner- perfect. The cotagge is wery warm. The boat ( if you need 2, also aviable) is top.

Karjalan Helmi is a wonderful and peaceful family business that rents out several cottages of various sizes. The owner is very friendly and supportive. Magnificent and quiet surroundings, very clean and comfortable house with amazing garden. It's based on a private cape, has its own pier, with amazing views. There's a boat and two bicycles at the premises, ready to use. Indoor and outdoor wood burning saunas with logs provided. And didn't break the bank to visit here, very good value for money!
