"Ruka Park Base Camp" is an excellent choice for outdoor enthusiasts and for families with children. Key activities right from the door: Skiing, Snowboarding, Nordic Skiing, Snowshoeing, Hiking, Frisbee golf, Mountainbiking (mtb). Key info: • Ideal for 2 adults and 2 children (max capacity 6). • 2 x King size (200x160cm) beds (as bunk beds). • Sauna & bathroom with floor heating. • An open layout living room & kitchen. • Fully equipped kitchen with cutlery for 6. • Drying cabinet. • Free Parking. • Ski maintenance room, bike wash station. • Excellent for remote work: A desk with a mountain view. • BYO or RENT bed sheets and towels.
The Jukola family of five is living normal Finnish life with an outdoors and multisport twist: This apartment was acquired primarily for excellent snowboarding training facilities (the Ruka Park) and for outdoor relaxation. When we are not here, we rent this apartment to fund our son's dream to compete in the snowboarding Olympics.
Winter: Ruka Park is a world-class snowpark. Excellent Nordic ski tracks. Summer: Ruka Bike Park trails. Pump track. Frisbee Golf. Autumn: Autumn colors and northern lights. Year around: Hikes & Snowshoeing. Valtavaara 5 km, Pyhävaara 12 km, Karhun kierros 75 km. Services in Ruka Valley, within 300m: Ski and bike rentals, Camp Kitchen & Bar, grocery store K-Market, Vuosseli Cabin (5 mins to Ruka Village).
