Take the opportunity to visit local wine châteaux and taste renowned wines. -La Cité du Vin: An interactive museum dedicated to wine, where you can learn more about the history and culture of Bordeaux wine. -Bassin d'Arcachon: About an hour's drive away, you'll find the magnificent Bassin d'Arcachon, renowned for its beaches, oysters and the Dune du Pilat, Europe's highest sand dune. -Saint-Émilion: A charming medieval village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its wines, cobbled streets and monolithic churches. -Cap Ferret: A magnificent peninsula offering superb beaches, dunes and a picturesque fishing village. -Parc Bordelais: A pleasant urban park for a stroll or picnic. ## Getting around Public transport: Buses and streetcars are popular means of public transport in the Bordeaux area. You can use the Bordeaux Métropole (TBM) public transport network to get around the city and its surroundings. Train: Villenave-d'Ornon station is nearby, so you can take the train to other towns in the region or in France. Walking: If you want to explore the area on foot, make sure you wear comfortable shoes, as this can be a pleasant way to discover the region.
