The hotel is perfectly located near the edge of the old town, a 30 second walk from the public parking at the entrance to the old town. It is walking distance to anything, and next to the best shops and restaurants. While the room shows its age, it is clean and comfortable and the staff is very nice.

this feels like a family own hotel. the staff is personable. the rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant is top notch. I also recommend the breakfast. everything is local (cheese, jams, yogurts…)

We booked this for an overnight stay on our way back to the UK.
The hotel was fine and basic but we expected that. The guy that checked us in spoke no English and we spoke no French but he really tried to communicate with us which was much appreciated.
The room was basic but clean and we had a preprepared continental breakfast in the morning which was lovely and less than €4.90 each.
It was a great place to stop.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful and scenic site at the base of the castle town of St. Flour. The exterior was medieval and the interior was modern and felt like home. Peter (Pierre) was an excellent chef and caretaker.

There was a jazz festival in St Flour the night we stayed which was a nice find with artists playing on streets around the city - despite the festival the rooms were quiet and the central location meant we could enjoy the main sights. We really enjoyed our night in the city and good selection at breakfast (make sure you turn on the water bath to heat it up before boiling your egg!)

Parquet flooring, wood panelling and ornate ceilings throughout. Spacious rooms, kettle and very modern shower. Local produce for breakfast and a host who was local and so knowledgeable on the house and local area. Passed here many times on the motorway going south. We will return.
