The manor house is ideal for history lowers. Originally built in the XII and reconstructed in the XVI century, it is a traditional manoir Normand from the era of Francois I. 3 original 2-meter-wide fireplaces (2 working) and period furniture from the region complete the unique experience of deep diving into French history. This history is combined here with all the elements of modern ecologically-sensitive comfort: electricity is generated by PV panels, heating is provided by wood pellet burning boiler, kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances, there is Starlink wifi and streaming services like Netflix, Prime, Spotify and others. However, the historical nature of the manor might not be suitable for everyone: people allergic to old wooden dust, animal furs and other antique elements should beware. On top of that we are in the midst of fields in rural Normandy, which adds humidity, polen, flying insects and an occasional spider to the list of risks, which are impossible to insulate from in an old but beautiful provincial manor house.
We live in the house near the manor and will be happy to welcome you personally to the property. We would be happy to share with you our local recommendations and help organise sightseeing, fishing or hunting trips (in season).
The manor house is located in a charming small village of Vattetot-sur-Mer, which has beach access (2 km from the house). The beach is unguarded and has no facilities. There is also a nice restaurant Le Puits Fleuri (1 km). A 7-11, pizza place, very good butchery and awesome bakery are all in the next village of Les Loges (2 km). Postcard town of Etretat and port Fecamp have everything else, both 7 km from the house.
