Located in the heart of the 9th district, this beautiful apartment has been decorated with an eye for detail, featuring well chosen art work and contemporary furniture. On the 3rd floor (with elevator), typical of Haussmannian architecture, with its elegant wooden floor, high ceilings, mouldings, large fireplaces, big windows, it comprises a lobby, a bright living room with 2 comfortable double sofa beds, a dining table and chairs, a bedroom with a double bed and spacious closets, a fully equipped kitchen, a brand new bathroom with a big shower, a separate wc/powder room. Despite being located in one of the bobo hotspots of the city, it's very quiet at night, as the flat is overlooking a beautiful private courtyard and not the street. The nearest Metro station (Notre-Dame-de-Lorette) is only 2 minutes away. Almost every tourist site can be reached walking (assuming you enjoy walking a bit). Bikes (Vélib) can be easily rented in the street for a few euros a day. You can park nearby (less than 5 minutes walking) in a secure parking : Parking Saint Georges, 20 rue Clauzel. The keys will be handed to you directly at my apartment.

After university studies (and a degree in marketing), I always found time to travel extensively and for long periods of time. I realised then how one appreciates to find a place where you feel at home, live as locals do; a place where you can enjoy breakfast with your choice of music in the background, where you can shop the local food stores and cook a beautiful diner for everybody; Well, even better if this place costs you roughly half what a hotel would cost you (for a fifth of the space)! I love literature and art, which probably reflects in the modern decoration and the many books on the bookshelves. Travelling in many parts of the world made me quite laid back I guess; I just expect my guests to have a wonderful time in Paris and just want to come back as soon as possible....

Situated on the upscale rue des Martyrs, it's particularly close to Montmartre (you can see the Sacrée Coeur from the doorstep and the Moulin Rouge is 5 mn away), the musee du Louvre and the famous Opéra Garnier. Ther you can enjoy the shopper's mecca of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, among many others. Gare du Nord train station (with a direct train connection from CDG airport + Eurostar & Thalys) is only a 15-minute walk from our flat. Our street is very busy with traditional food stores (boulangeries, charcuteries, boucheries, wine cellars,fromagers), fruit and veggie stores, organic food stores, trendy cafes and restaurants. The nearby theaters and museums (I strongly recommend the Musee National Gustave Moreau, a hidden gem of a museum, formerly the artist's home and studio, and the Musee de la vie Romantique, where you can enjoy tea in the little, old fashioned garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets) make the whole neighbourhood very lively.
