Your family will be close to everything when you stay in one of the oldest buildings in Chalus, which is centrally-located. Please bear this mind when you book as it could be a little noisy outside during the tourist season and on market days which is usually on a Friday morning. Otherwise, Chalus is a sleepy and friendly medieval market town in a semi-rural setting.
I am family orientated so a nice comfortable home is important to me. I can't live without basic luxuries, good food, internet, radio and Gospel music. Love travelling to Greece, France, New York, Portugal and the Caribbean. Favourite films are Colour Purple and Once upon a Time in America. I enjoy eating different foods and what I like most about the area of France we are in is the recipes based on what is grown each season. I like travelling on local transport where possible because you get a better feel of the surroundings and the local population. As a guest I like to be made to feel welcome and hate fussing. As a host I like to think my guests will feel comfortable, relaxed, and wish to return. The self-catering facilities make it easy to prepare a meal using local produce if you want to entertain or eat at home. Although the kitchen does not have a washing machine or dishwasher it is fully equipped to prepare full meals. Excellent produced can be bought from the weekly market at Chalus.
Central location within walking distance of amenities, but less than 5 minutes drive to the Intermarche Super, Zone de, Chez Fontanille, 87230 Chalus, France. which has a large choice of food, drink, clothes and items for the home. There are also laundry facilities based at the Intermarche Super. There is no parking at the property but free on street parking nearby. Guests will need to park away from the street behind the property (Av. du 19 Mars 1962) between 5 am and 3 pm on market days which are usually on Thursdays or Fridays. There are banks, a Post Office, a supermarket, florist, hairdressers, bakers, beauticians and eating places etc. within strolling distance. My favourite place is the bakers only a few doors away. There is also the small Utile supermarket less than 3 minutes walk away.
