Location. Location. Location. The decor was wonderful. All mod cons made available. The ambiance was great. The locals and neighbours friendly, helpful and chatty. Owner responsive and helpful online. Good base of operations for Provence. Will definitely stay again!

A former donkey stabile transformed into a beautiful traditional Provençal house. Nearly 400 years old with very thick stone walls, your stay will be relaxing and peaceful with lovely neighbours and the river running deep the other side of the street. It's conveniently located to the bakery, convenience shop, news agents, bars, and restaurants at the centre of this delightful famous unspoilt Provencial village. Past guests have said if they knew it was so perfect they would have booked for longer!
I'm a musician, hence the piano is in the house for fellow musicians! But please ask first as the piano is special and 50 years old. I write and compose as well as play, And last year wrote music for a film made partly in the village. I live in North London and run a music centre here to promote music via tuition, a piano centre, an inhouse musical themed cafe and a recording studio, with practice rooms. I studied at the Royal College of Music, and come from a musical family. I stay at the house approximately 4 times per year, and every time I find it harder to leave it!
The village is peaceful and safe, and the inhabitants are very Friendly indeed, especially my Neighbours, who have been only too pleased to assist my Clients with information on the area etc. There is much locally for children to enjoy, a large park in the village centre, canoe and kayak centre just outside the village, as well as equestrian centres nearby. The area is popular with cyclists also and the fairly quiet and stunning scenic roads make it wonderful countryside to explore on bikes. It's also a great base for walkers And even skiers in the winter months stay in the village. There is also the Lac de Croix at the bottom of Gorge du Verdon which offers beaches and safe swimming as well as Various boating activities. In peak season with its sandy beaches it makes a sensible alternative to the crowded coast. The lake is on a par with some of the Italian lakes and is very under publicised to keep it exclusive. It's only 40minutes or so drive away!
