Located just a short walk from Brantome, Villa Lilas is located around a tranquil and pretty courtyard. Modern but built in the local architectural style and honey coloured stone, furnished to a high standard and sleeping up to 10 persons, Lilas is a stunning four-bedroom, two-bathroom villa with easy ground floor access if required and boasts a secluded garden and quiet outdoor eating/B-B-Q and sun-bathing area. Set over three floors the accommodation includes: Ground floor living: Fully equipped kitchen/dining with kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, slow cooker, fridge/freezer. Interior dining oak table and chairs Lounge area with UK Freeview satellite TV/DVD/CD player, DVDs, books and games Patio doors to loggia/outdoor eating Ground Floor sleeping/bathroom: Double bedroom opening to a small patio: family bathroom with walk-in shower First Floor sleeping/bathroom: 2 Double Bedrooms: family bathroom with bath and overhead shower Second Floor sleeping: Open plan extensive tower bedroom sleeping 4 in single beds (our children love it!) Parking: There is an underground car park to keep the car cool in summer
Villa Lilas is our holiday home in France. We love the area and the friendly people and return each year with our three children. As we don't live at the property fulltime our host is La Conciergerie, a local company managed by Jemma who is fluent in English and French and who will look after you during your stay
The town of Brantome has something for everyone: historic buildings, fine restaurants, river canoeing and swimming, a weekly market, shopping for local crafts and delicacies and a lovely children's play park within a huge park. Within a short drive are several river/lake swimming sandy beaches. The historic town of Perigueux is about 25 minutes’drive away and there are many ancient chateaux within easy reach. Well marked walks can be found across the region and vary from an amble into town to a full day circular hike. Two supermarkets (Carrefour and Aldi) are within a kilometre. There is a restaurant at the far end of the Domaine and many more are located in the town.
