Beautiful property very spacious with great views & attention to detail, was easy to find & a parking space at the rear. Kitchen had all the facilities available including a dishwasher & and little outhouse with a washer if needed, I was left a cake & a bottle for my birthday nice touch! Spacious lounge & lovely decor upstairs & very quiet we all slept in!! Friendly neighbours who also had dogs who all chatted as we sat outside having a cup of tea looking at the castle & sea.

Walked up the steepest street in the northern hemisphere which was challenging - took me about 7 minutes.
Castle is very good.
Nice cheese and beer shop opposite the castle.
It was a good base from which to travel to other towns.

Overlooked by its majestic castle, Harlech should be a wonderful place but underinvestment (and probably the results of the pandemic) have left it with many shuttered shops and closed businesses. A great shame, as it's a shadow of the town it used to be.

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular.
Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway.
Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce.
Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs.
Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones).
There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything.
If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels)
Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.
host was great, showed us everything we needed to know, very clean place with wifi, comfy beds, shops within walking distance along with a sandy beach near bye.
Parking spaces available outside, polite neighbours, amazing views of snowdonia from the window.
waterfalls 20 mins away which were beyond breathtaking for views.
So much to do in both directions, never a dull moment and it was just nice to return after a long day to a comfy apartment to relax and watch a movie . will deffo love to return and carry on with our adventures.
A beautiful quiet location out in the country with stunning views. Great area for walking. Close to Harlech Castle and Portmadog. Also a lovely beach at Harlech and a few cafes to choose from. Not too far to travel for evening meals. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Lots of fresh towels. Generous amounts of tea, coffee and milk. Breakfast was ordered in advance, several choices and Cooked to perfection. A very relaxing stay. Will definitely return.
This is a very old building in the center of the village. The rooms have king beds and are immaculate. There are some steps, but they are manageable. There are three parking spaces and a parking lot closer to the castle. The owner is so friendly. She also has a dining room for her guests and a small bar. The motif is airplane, and is decorated in many pictures from their career in the airlines. we enjoyed our stay here.
Very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Inn very clean throughout. Great service. Spacious room. Fantastic location, a minute from Harlech Castle. Must be one of the best views from a bar window, looking out across the bay and onwards to the mountains of Snowdonia. Very good breakfast and dinner. Overall, this Inn made my stay both comfortable and enjoyable. I thought it good value for money and will book again.
Location was perfect as described just across fro the sand dunes and a long 5km beach to walk the dog. The hotel is not only dog friendly they actually like dogs and our dog was able to come to the bar with us and join us for dinner.
The food was excellent we both had the welsh fillet. As stated there is an extensive list of Gins to choose from and Rum and Whiskey........... We really enjoyed our stay
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go each day. Ground floor meant no lugging cases upstairs! Very tasteful & attractive interior. Best equipped kitchen of any property we have used. Good space for the two of us. Lovely gifts [edible] and milk on our arrival! Useful booklet of info about local pub etc.
We had a lovely welcome when we arrived from Adam and Tracy, who are very friendly and hospitable .
The room and ensuite were very clean and had everything we needed.
The location is fantastic and the access to Harlech beach (which is exceptional) and to the Castle is great.
The breakfast was excellent.
Great small hotel at the foot of the Harlech Castle hill with very friendly hosts. We had a comfortable room with a castle view and enjoyed a beer and chips in the hotel bar in the evening. The breakfast was excellent.
Good starting point for the Snowdonia national park or the Harlech beach!
The Cottage was absolutely fabulous!!!
It had everything that we needed, was lovely and cosy.
The location was perfect a short walk down to the beach, and a short drive into Harlech itself.
We had a lovely stay and can't wait to return, we didn't want to leave
Deborah and her stuff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The guest house is ideally situated for exploring North Wales, a beautiful area with every kind of landscape.
Everything. It's clean, it's very nice and decent size room. Staff they were amazing. I would recommend this place to every one. The location is really good. You can see Harley castle and it's just 10 minutes away from the beach.
Location excellent, lovely cottage, good welcome pack, lovely area for walks and beach. Excellent bakery and ice cream shop on the door step. Food also very good at the Wilderness Cafe.
Saul was the perfect host, got a hot cuppa on arrival which was most welcome, made me feel at home and gave loads of helpful information on the area. Great value for money.
Location is perfect, right near the beach to watch the sunset. Also close to a decent pub, the castle and a little longer walk to the caverns and neolithic burial chamber.
Superb location and room. Good breakfast. The proprietors Mark and Linda were very friendly, and helped to make our visit to Harlech a very successful one.
Exceptional accommodation. Very comfortable and warm. Very comfortable beds. Quiet area. We loved the hot tub! Loads of parking. Very near to the shop.
