We have enjoyed it a lot, the room is beautiful, with some details due to the age of the building, but very good, the shower is extremely small, it is not suitable for fat people or elderly people in this room, it lacks a fan since the room is closed, but Despite these and other details, the view was so spectacular that we spent the 3 days sitting on the sofa looking at the sea, we really missed not being able to hear it. The Hotel in general terms is very good, we will surely return, the value for the price we have had has been excellent, they have an elevator to access the upper floors, the cafeteria is very good, and the facilities, we did not like the dinner, in Right now they don't have a good chef, which is essential, but we still had a great time, quiet, comfortable bed, clean, very nice staff. I hope they continue to improve.
Set in Llandudno, 70 metres from Llandudno North Shore Beach, The County Hotel offers accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Although part of Colwyn bay Rhos on sea could not be more different from main Colwyn bay town both old and new.While I found main Colwyn bay quite dated and in need of some tlc,Rhos on sea itself is a delightful place to be with the beach and surrounding properties along with no overcrowding making in my opinion the little gem it is.

We stayed in Rhos on Sea at the Whithall B&B which was cosy with lovely staff and welcoming atmosphere, also a fab breakfast. The Beach which is opposite, was clean and tidy and is currently (Aug 2023) undergoing redevelopment/upgrade of the promenade. There are a handlful of local shops and amenities, as well as a couple of lovely bars and tap rooms. We highly recommend a visit to Grape to the Glass, a lovely cosy wine bar/tap room. The staff were fabulous and had a wealth of knowledge regarding the wine etc that they also sell by the bottle/can. Also a walk along the coast approx 2 miles towards Penrhyn Bay where there is the lovely Beach Cafe

Lovely area so close to so many things to do, all the beaches are really clean with brilliant views. We visited Rhyl, Llandudno, Tonwy, Rhos on sea, Conwy, the Welsh Mountain zoo, the local castles,the local Farm Park and also just stopped along the coast road to access the beach for the kids. Would definitely recommend! And would recommend a trip to Hickorys to eat out which is just along the road!

Colwyn Bay didn’t have much to offer.
Colwyn Bay didn’t have much to offer. We arrived on Saturday evening and couldn’t find any restaurants open where we were! We ended up driving out to Llandudno for food instead. It was a good base for seeing other areas. The only thing in Colwyn Bay worth visiting is the Welsh mountain zoo.

Rhos on Sea is a delightful seaside town in its own right with easy access to other great holiday places. Within easy reach of Llandudno for shops and Theatre Cymru plus West Bay, Deganwy and Conwy. The A55 allows for an easy trip to Anglesey too. In Rhos Fortes often has a wi-fi connection and eating at Pen y Bryn is always a delight. Wet weather shopping at Tweedmill and Afon Wen near St. Asaph.
Convenient central location - just a short walk to the beach
and shopping area, and near the coastal expressway;
Very spacious room with comfortable bed, good wardrobe,
and welcome tray for tea/coffee, with lovely Welsh biscuits;
Breakfast has a wide choice and is well served;
Wi-fi is excellent and reliable, and the entrance hall is full of
interesting information and leaflets for those visiting North
Wales for the first time, or looking to explore further.
All-round very good value. Thank you.
Everything: The host, the house, the location... Kevin welcomed us at the house and prepared a wonderful welcome package for the kids (and us). The house is in a perfect condition, very cosy and well equipped, including a lovely Garden Room. The seaside and a bus stop are within walking distance. We enjoyed discovering Rhos on Sea, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Snowdonia National Park. We can't recommend it enough and hope to be back again soon!
Property was immaculate. Set in a quiet area but still close to walk to the Promenade and town. Spacious with separate sitting area and kitchen. Fridge pre stocked with all that you need and breakfast was fantastic
No issue to accommodate my wife having gluten intolerance
Excellent base for exploring area
Owner Jane great help and provides mobile number to contact her
Would highly recommend to any couple making a visit to the area
Everything was better than expected
Breakfast was cooked fresh, room was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable, Plenty of tea and coffee which if we ran out could request more, the fresh milk in the fridge was a bonus.
Hosts made you feel at ease as soon as you walked in the door. Very knowledgable about Colwyn Bay and surrounding areas.
Would definitely stay there again excellent value for money.
3rd time we have stayed at west point hotel and enjoyed it every time.
We are always made feel welcome and jan always makes time to have a chat with you.
The rooms are nice & clean and the beds are really comfy.
Breakfast is lovely and you get plenty 😊.
When we go back to wales we will always stay at west point hotel
The place was absolutely clean , very good location just 10 mins drive from Llandudno and other key sight seeing locations. Right on the high street of Colwyn Bay.
The apartment is very good and has everything needed for a family stay . The bed was comfortable and the heating was spot on
I really enjoyed my stay.
Amazing decor, fantastic facilities, one of the best accommodations I have stayed in across 3 continents.
Responsive and diligent host, made access to the accommodation simple and straight forward.
If you are looking for a base to spend in or explore wales this should be on the top of your list!
We loved the location, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The garden was completely enclosed so we knew the dog couldn't escape. The sea was only a short walk away, or a couple of minutes by car to get to the longer beach at Colwyn Bay.
Have stayed here before and it's an excellent little gem for this corner of Wales, dog friendly and near to a lot of popular tourist spots. I toured round Snowdonia and had a great time relaxing back at the hotel. Included breakfast is second to none.
very friendly welcoming host . very comfortable room. breakfast was exceptional would say they were the best breakfasts we ever had in any hotel and we have been it quite a few.. stall were brilliant they make sure everything was perfect for us .
Lovely house set on the hilltop of colwyn Bay. Easy to get to and all the amenities at hand for a perfect family break.
It's a shame we only stopped for 1 night as we were passing through as it would have been ideal for a long weekend/week.
Very accessible from surrounding areas.
Very quiet relaxing clean and looked after. lot of effort put in to ensure best stay possible.
Would recommend this place instead of hotels or that. Everything needed in one spot
The bed is comfy , the breakfast was good (English breakfast), the staff was really nice and welcoming and the room smelled and was cleaned. The hotel was really quiet when we were staying.
Room was very clean, staff were extremely helpful and really friendly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Staff had plenty of advice on local area and restaurants etc
A nice cozy apartment with pleanty of space for a family. Friendly owners and good location, close to the Colwyn Bay Beach and 15 min drive away from several local atractions.
