Chirk Castle and Erddig, both owned by the National Trust, are accessible by automobile, and a day's drive will take you to six of Wales' Seven Wonders. Visit the Old Hill Fort at Oswestry, go for a stroll along the crest of the Clwydian Hills on Offa's Dyke Path, or use the national rail system to travel to the Roman city of Chester, Shrewsbury, and other places.
