The Dunes, hotel in Tenby

Located in Tenby, 1.6 km from North Tenby Beach, The Dunes provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

There was a lot of doors banging which woke us up every morning and late at night. Also, with it being a golf club, expect to hear lawn mowing from 0630 (late May). Despite this we extended our stay to spend more time in this beautiful part of the World and we will be back at some point in the future. The manager said they are going to do 'something' about the banging doors as they automatically close quite loudly, especially with pressure changes when other doors are opened. It is close enough to walk into Tenby but it's up hill on the way there and it's not very well lit up at night on the way into Tenby. Not an issue for us though.

I have visited Tenby every year since birth.

I have visited Tenby every year since birth. Usually Kiln Park for a holiday or day visits, it’s always been a friendly quiet town. There were a few years where it attracted Hen and Stag parties, which is lovely for business but I noticed that last orders are now around 10pm which I liked as it’s now got its charm back as a family place to be. To come out of the restaurant or pub and hear the quiet sound of the ocean was lovely, there was lovely live vocalists in many restaurants and The Cove had an abba event and you could see everyone dancing having a great time so I think the balance is good. Can’t wait to return thanks Amy Moon x

Beach and town very near to rail station.

Beach and town very near to rail station. Lovely cafes, restaurants and pubs, so lots of choice. Great that they all cater for dogs with water bowls left outside for them and are allowed in some places. Beaches are great and plenty of places to sit. You can walk around Tenby quite easily. Seemed a lot cars around. Be great if they could make it pedestrian only in some places. Love the coloured buildings and the little harbour, very quaint.

Love Tenby it was dog friendly and the beaches were amazing very good atmosphere and people very friendly glad I had self catering though because the restaurants were pricey, so we cooked own food in the flat, other than that , it was perfect and we had a lovely time we did have some problems with the TV could not get the sound on but worked it out after, had to use the sound system underneath the TV but we would love to stay there again and thanks from Anne and alan and Milo.

There are a lot of boarded up shops obviously the impact post Covid many businesses have Closed. The railway station from which I embarked was a disgrace no adequate disability access particularly for visual or hearing impairment , if you have to get across the tracks to access the platform for the return trip. no toilet. Generally looks a very unloved station so not a good way to be greeted when you arrive but generally there are still a good range of shops tea rooms and places to eat.

I don’t understand all of the negative comments here. Maybe the hotel has had a part refurb since? Okay, the building is a little beaten up from the outside but I have no other complaints. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The view across north beach harbour is beautiful (with a table and chairs conveniently placed next to the bay window). The breakfast was superb with lots on offer, including a full fry up. In all, it was excellent value for money. I’ll definitely be returning for my next trip to Tenby!

The staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly, helpful and cheerful. They most certainly made up for the dissapoining aspects of the stay. Our room was fairly large and even without sea views still had great views. The lift was the main reason we booked this hotel (along with parking that was no longer an option after booking) and although not 100% disability friendly it was manageable with just a couple of steps here and there. Breakfast was lovely and the views from the dining area are amazing

I was given a single room at the top of the hotel, looking out over Tenby Seafront. Room was comfortable and quiet, had a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast was included and served from 8 am to 9.30 am, partly help yourself, although they took your order at the table for the cooked breakfast, which was great. Location is fantastic, looking out over the South Beach and Tenby Town centre is only a 5 minute walk. Would recommend.

Location was excellent as the apartment is situated in the middle of town with easy walking distance to shops, seafront and harbour. Very pleased that the property came with parking. The apartment was very quiet. Not sure if there was anyone else in the building as we didn't hear anyone. The bedroom was dark, so good night's sleep. Kitchen was well equipped. We liked the lighting in the kitchen.

We enjoyed our four night stay at the Townhouse. The location is ideal, just a few minutes distance from South Beach and a five minute walk into Tenby town centre, with all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, all freshly prepared to a high standard by Huw, and plenty of choice. We would definitely stay at the Townhouse again.

The room(St Catherine's view) was beautiful..so glad we decided to upgrade. This really did make our two night stay extra special. Such a convenient location for exploring Tenby. On our second morning, we were seated in the bay window for breakfast and this was such a lovely end to our stay. I would recommend the full breakfast.
