Stylish former chapel in the Derbyshire town of Belper with great views of the surrounding countryside. Large open plan living/dining room and well equipped kitchen. 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has twin beds OR a super king-size bed when zipped together. Additional small double sofa bed in lounge. Travel cot available. Belper town with restaurants, pubs and a cinema is just 10 mins walk away (uphill climb on the way back). Easy access to all areas of Derbyshire. Very good WI-FI. On street parking.
I have been a holiday let host for over 10 years now. I love to travel and meet new people and have a particular passion for skiing in the winter months. I really enjoy welcoming guests to my unique 2 bedroom converted chapel in the lovely Derbyshire town of Belper. We will always be happy to offer local information. There is also information in the chapel about how to use the heating, coffee maker, etc. and public transport details too. You can contact us any time by phone and/or email should you need any help or information during your stay.
Belper is a lovely historic Derbyshire mill town and the chapel is only a 10-15 minute (uphill) walk from the town centre which offers independent shops, restaurants, pubs and the fabulous, art deco style Ritz cinema. The river gardens with tea room, swan boats and play area is also popular with all ages. There are lots of places of interest and things to do locally which makes this a great base to explore Derbyshire from. The chapel is less than 1 mile from Belper train station which offers direct links to Derby and Matlock. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Derby station and you can reach many other areas from there including London in just over 2 hours. Distances by road (miles): Chatworth House 17, Matlock 10, Derby 8, Ashbourne 12, Alton Towers theme park 22. Local buses are also very well connected.
