Stunning 4 bed barn conversion with lots of character situated in a beautiful,peaceful and rural location in Northumberland.
Lovely views overlooking the fields where horse graze. Guests can feed the resident horses their carrots for breakfast or tea !
The barn is spacious and ideal for large groups and families - stunning open plan kitchen and sitting area with original exposed beams and a wood burning stove for chilly nights in. Or for a sunny summer's evening, enjoy time in a small but private garden area with seating and a charcoal BBQ.
Dogs are very welcome too ( charges apply) dog bowls and doggy blankets provided and they can have fun on holiday too with lovely wood walks nearby.
Perfectly located to visit either the city and nightlife of Newcastle City, 30 mins south on A1 or head north for the picturesque market town of Alnwick or a day out to Seahouses and the famous boat trips to enjoy the wildlife of the Farne Islands, including the cute puffins.
Kim and Allan have run an animal sanctuary for over 28 years and although they no longer rescue animals, their farm is still home to a few old ponies & horses.
They have been running holiday lets from their farm since 2014 and enjoy welcoming guests from UK and abroad. They live in the farmhouse on site and are close at hand if guests require any help but equally respect their privacy to enable them to enjoy the peace and quiet of their stay.
The village of Ulgham ( translated as Where Owls Meet ) is only 4 miles from the town of Morpeth with lovely independent shops, many restaurants and pubs.
Although there is no restaurant within walking distance of Goat Barn, there are local takeaways that will deliver as well as online shop deliveries from Asda,Iceland and Tesco.
Alnwick is a 30 min drive north and Newcastle about a 30 min drive south so ideally located for both city and country life.
