I cannot see my negative comments about the food we had for dinner or any feedback. I said the mash was reconstituted, the frozen vegetables soggy and the pies didn’t have any recognisable pieces of meat in them. Not very pleasant to try to eat.
We were woken at 7am by our neighbour running a bath. Very noisy - like a truck hitting the room. No way could you sleep through it,

The hotel room was very basic, but had everything necessary.
The hotel room was very basic, but had everything necessary. The amazing thing is how very inexpensive it was. The hotel is close to the train station, making it very convenient for us, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're into luxury this isn't your place, but if you're on a budget, you can't beat it.

It is a very interesting town, with a good local football club, a beer museum and a huge Coors brewery.
An (allegedly) haunted house called Sinai with, I believe a moat and some lovely walk ways especially along the canal towpath.

We don’t know this place at all. It’s off our beaten track.
We don’t know this place at all. It’s off our beaten track. My grandson lives in the area and held his wedding at the wedding barns in April. We stayed at St. George’s park hotel on that occasion … because they couldn’t hold a reception due to covid so put the party off until this week. I didn’t like St George’s Park hotel, the food was awful and the noise of drills was deafening … so I searched for somewhere that I thought was nearer enough for an overnight stay. The taxi cost £20 each way to get there which wasn’t great, but the stay at Dovecliff Hotel was lovely.

Location in central Burton made access to the town easy with on street parking outside the property. The accommodation was well appointed, clean and came with all those travel essentials and everyday practical extras, like washing up liquid and extra toilet rolls, to make the stay pleasurable. Information from the owners was clear and delivered in a timely fashion. Would certainly make use of this property or one of the others available when in the area again
The property was very comfortable and had a lot of charm—it was the perfect “quintessential” British country pub with a lovely (and lively) bar area. The restaurant was actually much better than typical pub fare, which was a great surprise, and the staff were all very friendly.
The room was lovely
The staff were all friendly and professional
Plenty of tasty breakfast options
There was a nice walk to do in the area
The hotel looked very impressive from the outside
We enjoyed all of the England team memorabilia around the hotel and grounds
The drive up to the hotel was nice, how ever i thought it would of been more off the main road given the pictures I saw. Lovely building, grounds were nice. Lovely spacious bathroom, Breakfast was very nice, Loved the piano in the bar area.
Everything! Friendly welcome at reception and the room was absolutely amazing. Lovely evening dining where the food was excellent and the breakfast was one of the best we've had in our many hotel stays. Thank you for a pleasurable stay.
Lovely clean room. It had everything you'd need for your stay. Great relaxed feel to it. Beautifully decorated. The bed was really comfortable. This is our 2nd stay at the hotel and would definitely come again when visiting the area.
Excellent value. Hotel could do with a spruce up but was clean and tidy. Mattress in our room (number 5) was as good as any I have ever slept in. Hotel is quiet despite it being next to a busy junction.
Staff were friendly & helpful
The location is excellent for the town centre but far enough away from any of the usual disturbances
the apartment was lovely & clean and had everything we needed for our stay
Will definitely return there on our next visit
Perfect location for our visit to the National Arboretum. The location of the hotel is right by the river and some lovely walks and views. The breakfast was delicious every day and the evening meals we had were very good.
Small but adequate. Was quite close to the main centre and there is a Lidl next door. The kitchen was well equipped. The apartment was very quiet which was appreciated.
We always stay here when we come to Burton. The hotel is friendly, clean and comfortable. Close to town centre. Shame there is still no breakfast available.
