We live in a three storey Victorian townhouse in Hanover, Brighton, and you will be staying in the entire top floor with stunning views of the Roundhill area of the City. Your space is very private at the top of our child & pet friendly family home. It's just 20 mins to the South Downs, to the city centre and beach, and 5 mins to the nearest high street with frequent buses into town. Free weekend parking, low cost weekday permits available to purchase. Our home is a safe & welcoming space for folks from all minority and marginalised groups. We really enjoy hosting guests from many different cultures, and welcome people of all races, faiths, abilities, genders and sexual orientations. Your space is a very light and bright loft conversion with en suite bathroom. The double bedroom is spacious and airy with a large window facing west and a velux window facing east. There's a kettle with teas and coffees so you can relax and have a brew whenever you like. The bathroom is en suite and has a shower with organic vegan toiletries (bodywash, shampoo, conditioner). The sofa folds out into a small double bed which is ideal for two adults who don’t need too much space, or two children for a family holiday! We will make up the bed for you in advance. Your space includes a flat screen TV, a triple wardrobe, and a deskspace in case you're on a work trip. Let us know if you will be working & we will provide you with a comfortable office chair. Check-in is after 3pm, and checkout by 11am. You're welcome to request luggage drop off prior to 3pm, or to leave your luggage here on the day you're leaving and then come and pick it up later (free of charge). Pets are very welcome for a small extra charge. And if you are 2 guests but would like both beds to be made up, this is also possible for a small extra linen charge. You will be staying in Brighton's Hanover district - known locally as 'Muesli Mountain'! It's an area of Brighton well known for its peaceful, residential hillside terraces, and many independent pubs. A mix of families, flats, locals and everything in-between. Open your windows and hear the birds singing. It's only a 20 minute walk to the Level (the tree-lined park where the Prince Regent used to play cricket, now home to one of the UK's best skate parks) and a 5 min walk to Lewes Road where buses run to the city centre and beach every few minutes. Brighton train station is a 25 minute walk or 10 minute taxi ride. Brighton is often described as Europe's LGBTQ+ capital and has a progressive, accepting and liberal reputation. There are lots of gay and queer friendly bars and clubs in our city, most being in and around the Kemptown area (20 minute walk away.) Brighton is also a foodie-heaven with over 400 cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars in its central square mile. We are a 20 minute walk from the North Laine - an area full of independent shops and boutiques, cafes, bars, restaurants, and specialist outlets. The city centre also contains multiple music venues and theatres for culture vultures and gig-goers. The newly opened Sea Lanes on Brighton beach is a state of the art outdoor pool located close to beach volleyball and other seafront activities including the Volks miniature railway. Brighton Palace Pier sits centrally on Brighton's coastline with the seafront zipwire close by and the British Airways i360 tower further along the seafront into Hove. We're also surrounded by stunning countryside in Brighton. The Sheepcote Valley is a 10 minute walk away, and leads directly onto the South Downs Way. A short drive away is Ditchling Beacon and Devil's Dyke with their incredible views of the Sussex lowlands and the North Downs, and then there's the Seven Sisters! All three places can be reached by bus. Sussex is filled with incredible places to visit.
