Excellent breakfast available from 4am(very welcome when you've got an early morning flight)!
The dinner the night before was excellent, as was the service.
At midnight, we were able to get a choice of snacks to take up to our room.
Above all, the staff. We felt well looked after from the moment we started checking in, both times.
Two things most other hotels in my experience get wrong and this one got right - good lighting for reading in bed and enough sockets in the room for two people with laptops, phone chargers, etc.

This charming, quiet town has lovely canal walks and a large public park next to the town centre. The high street has good eateries and nice little shops. Don't miss the Coffee House Cafe, with it's great sandwiches and all-day cooked breakfast!
If you want to explore further the helpful staff in the central tourist office will suggest various self guided historic walks.
It is a perfect spot to overnight only a 15 minute drive from Stansted airport (and is NOT on the flight path, so no noise of passing planes), and easily reached by public bus #510 (or #509) which runs a regular service to and from the town even at night.

Bishops Stortford is a lovely old town which is relatively compact so it is easy to walk around the town centre. There is a good range of shops and quaint tea rooms and excellent restaurants. There’s a river and the station is close to the town centre. It can be a bit noisy especially on Saturday evenings.

Bishop's Stortford is a very picturesque town with friendly people who seem disposed to being welcoming and helpful to travellers. We were only passing through on our way from Stansted Airport to London, nevertheless, we enjoyed visiting the town and would have liked to have stayed a little longer to explore it a bit more

I had limited time to explore the town but I enjoyed walking around on Saturday and noting the mixture of the old historic architecture and the new building. There were plenty of options to eat or stop for a drink.

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. We was just staying overnight for the Standon Calling Festival and it’s perfect location for anyone going to this. Just about 20 minutes in a taxi from the site. Lots of pubs and nice coffee shops for breakfast the next day. Nice quaint little town with plenty to do.

This is a reasonably priced and extremely conveniently located hotel. Just 10 mins walk from the rail station, and only then 10 minutes train journey from Stansted airport. It is also right in the centre of this nice market town, so surrounded by good pubs and restaurants, and right next to a pretty good shopping centre. the staff were friendly and helpful. it is a beautiful very old coaching hotel with unusual historic features.
Perfect for an overnight stay. Economical use of a small space. Welcome pack of milk/fruit/biscuits a nice touch. Electric fan was a result as stay was during the heatwave. 10 min walk from town centre. Park directly opposite to walk the dog round. Recommend the Dogs Head pub in town, nice burgers/beers and very dog friendly.
Great Aparmtnt in a very good location in bishops Stortford. easy access to the shops and airport.
It has all the amnesties one need and free car parking space too which was ideal for me.
but above all owner was very accommodating and helped me out with a few times of modifications to my booking
A very pleasant stay - comfortable bed, clean rooms, good food, and good service. Some areas of the hotel are really charming with an 'English country house' feel. There are plenty of facilities here, and if we had more time we would have made better use of them (e.g. steam room).
Very small room absolutely no one to look after, no attendant for any support, for example we were shocked to see no hot water in bath rooms, we had to chase customer care for 4 hours for hot water in bathrooms, that too was switched on for 1 hour only.
Hotel is in jungle
Beautiful hotel spotless , details amazing american breakfast diner wes perfect beautifully decorated really really sparkling and clean as was everywhere else Melvyn and sindy lovely friendly couple very proud of their hotel and gorgoues morgan cars .
The flat itself it’s spacious, good amenities, of course near public transport, town centre, shops, etc.
Communication with host was very good, we got some issue with the boiler in NY Eve, and we got very quick response and updates.
The host took me to the local train station the morning I left, free of charge. This was not something we discussed upon booking so it was a very nice gesture which sure saved time and energy.

Lovely hotel with spacious rooms. Nice spa. Fun atmosphere at the bar. Staff members were kind and helpful. Great for a spa weekend away, or even a bachelorette party.
