The setting of our Keswick Guest House, in a quiet street with some breath taking views of the surrounding Lake District Fells, is ideally located and only a mere 3 minute amble from the charm of Keswick market town centre, with all its attractions and amenities. Shop in the pedestrianized Market Square with its twice weekly market and explore the courtyards with unique little shops and art galleries, just perfect for a little retail therapy. Keswick has embraced the café culture. After a day’s exploration of Keswick’s unique shops, inviting parks and Derwentwater amenities, you can relax in one of the many cafes and sip your cappuccino whilst watching the world go by.
We offer a mixture of rooms consisting of double en-suites, a triple en-suite room, (tariff dependent on number of occupants) . Most rooms face west and enjoy a sunny outlook from midday to late evening. Rooms at the back have views of Latrigg and beyond. There are various views of Skiddaw and Walla Cragg from several rooms occupying the top floors. As Leonard’s Field House is located in one of the quieter streets, there is less noise pollution in terms of traffic/pedestrians than those properties located on the busier thoroughfares, whilst still enjoying the benefit of being a short level stroll from the hustle and bustle of central Keswick. Although we provide keys to the Guest House and rooms, allowing free access throughout the day, we do ask guests to allow us a couple of hours in the morning to service your room, when tea, coffee and biscuits are replenished and fresh towels, as necessary, can be provided. We are one of the few Guest Houses to still offer the use of a Lounge for your comfort and relaxation,
For the adventurous, there are ample fells, walks and beauty spots to explore made famous by the likes of Wainwright and Wordsworth, plus cycle routes aplenty, most of which can literally be started from our front door and with unlimited free on street parking you can just park your car and relax. There are also good bus routes and stunning scenic drives within minutes of Leonard's Field House. Take the worry out of where to leave your bikes during your stay with our B&B’s secure off street cycle/motorbike storage
