The staff, the evening meal (chicken in a basket) and the breakfast all excellent and very friendly.

I found Rydal hall to be a very peaceful and tranquil place. It's gardens and the view are amazing and walking around them was just wonderful. I will definitely book Rydal hall again if I ever visit the Lake District. I 100% recommend it to anyone!

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet (considering it was a busy pub). The breakfasts were generous and delicious and served on hot plates. We met Grace on our second morning when she served us breakfast, she was delightful and friendly and made us feel very welcome, thank you.

Exceptional accomdation, great value for money. Spacious room, very clean and tidy. The bed was so comfy!

Welcoming and warm, this hotel is a historic treasure just down the street from the bookshop. The room was comfortable and homelike. The food is excellent, I ate breakfast and dinner all three nights I was there. Beautiful garden out back right in the River Rothy. I loved this place!

Joe did an outstanding job going beyond looking for a better room to cater to my elderly mother’s needs. He was very please and professional and He will go along way in life with those qualities. The breakfast was outstanding as was the lady who had a smile and chat each morning while serving .

A very brief stay with my dog as a stop over from London to Belfast. Amazing staff who made us feel very welcome (treats and a brief game of ball!) The bathroom was sparkling!

Tastefully decorated the rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was great. Restaurant was very good great space to chill out in the library limited parking but there is parking nearby.

Beautiful clean boutique-y hotel. We loved our stay here and the food was amazing. Grasmere is so cute. We stayed here on our way on the Coast to Coast Trek. Scones and coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Very beautiful location along a river.

This was such a perfect hotel to stay in. The lovely little balcony with a view of the stream. The room was spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was excellent. It was also very easy to visit nearby towns and access to local walks.
