I can’t believe I’ve never been here before when we only live about an hour and a half away! Very picturesque and I loved that there were a lot of independent shops instead of the same old high street names that you see everywhere. The whole place had a very relaxed vibe despite the fact that it was very busy. The choice of places to eat was phenomenal and I recommend cafe italia as the plate of tapas we had there was plentiful and delicious !😋

The most beautiful cleanest place I have visited in the uk, lots of information centres for excursions.
I was not happy having to pay between 50p to 60p for every toilet visit in and around the town centre. Next time I won’t visit tea rooms and coffee shops .

The closeness of restaurants and shops make it an ideal location. It’s a mix of commercial properties and private dwellings so can be a bit noisy but the convenience of all the amenities makes it worthwhile and interesting.

A great short break location with superb bus&boat connections.
This is important because the roads are very busy and the whole area is very hilly.
Like all popular areas prices are quite high for meals etc but overall an enjoyable atea to visit.

When I visited, outside school holidays, it was busy but not overcrowded. Most activities seem to be on the water, beautiful lake, or eating and drinking. I would recommend finding a hotel with parking and walk everywhere.

The double bedroom had mould behind the bedside cabinet . Also the bedside lamps did not work.
I did pass this on via booking.com message, but received no response.
The parking is an issue . It’s a small street and it’s not always possible to get a parking spot .
We love everything about Windermere Park, the room we had with a four poster bed , with plenty of space and a good-sized bathroom with an amazing shower .
Private parking ,
The breakfast was great with loads to choose from

Unfortunately the cover photo of the fabulous jacuzzi overlooking Lake Windermere is £40 extra! Not made clear and anything other than continental breakfast is also extra ! Other than that a fabulous hotel in a great setting
