Perfect spot. Fort Augustus is right on Canal by Loch Ness. Load of cafes & restaurants. Location excellent & could watch canal operations from Balcony. Great room size for 4 & spacious bathroom - will defo be back

Easy to find the building. We asked in the shop about parking and how to access the rooms. (Parking in road opposite and door to the rooms to the left of the building). Room exceeded my expectations. It was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room. The addition of a bath was much more child friendly, and the place was warm and cosy. The weather wasn't great whilst we were there, but we did love the view over the canal with a hot chocolate. Having tea/coffee facilities was great and meant we could have a slower morning. The housekeeper (Liz) was so friendly and helpful. Letting us know where to eat and generally keeping an eye on the place. She is a big asset to the place.

Amazing location right in the centre of Fort Augustus, overlooking the locks to Loch Ness. Very clean, comfortable bed and great shower. We stayed in Loch Lochy room, it had a freestanding bath which felt such a romantic luxury and was wonderful to soak tired muscles! It also had a balcony which would be lovely in warmer weather. The lovely lady Liz who we met was really friendly and informative. She told us all about the locks and we loved watching the road close and swing open to let the boats come through. We would definitely return!

We always had reservations about the no contact style of accessing this location but it is ideal especially for those not so confident with communicating with staff or those not confident in English. The room was spotless with little features that just made the stay so much nicer such as an area to leave shoes and a mini fridge. The decor was so well thought out with pictures up that you could purchase in the shop downstairs. The bed is comfortable, plenty of lighting and a good sized room for the cost. Being a standalone set of rooms, breakfast and dinner options are not provided but the location is right next to the canal which allows access to so many restaurants and cafes and attractions such as watching the boats on the canal and going on the loch ness cruise. We definitely hope to come back
