The villages of Harringworth and Bulwick are both within walking distance and have many pretty limestone cottages and houses reminiscent of those in the Cotswolds. The market towns of Uppingham, Oakham, Stamford and Oundle are all within a 20-minute drive. These towns all have their own unique history as well as offering a variety of local shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. There are a number of delightful historic homes and woodlands nearby including Burghley House, Rockingham Castle, Belton House, Kirby Hall, Lyveden and Fineshade Woods. Enjoy a day out at Rutland Water Park, where you can partake in watersports, mini golf and swimming. For an evenings entertainment there is The Core Theatre which offers a good range of plays, comedy and children’s theatre and Stamfords Art Cinema.
