On the edge of Loch Goil, Rowan House B&B Rooms & A Self Catering Apartment enjoys the stunning surroundings of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. With hills and mountains all around, this Highland guest house provides EV charging points with free parking and free high speed Wi-Fi. Each room has a flat-screen SMART-TV with DVD player, hairdryer, fridge, and tea and coffee facilities. All have either en suite bathroom or a separate private bathroom (directly opposite bedroom door), and with stunning views of the Loch and/ or hillside and gardens. A choice of continental or cooked breakfast, or one of Rowan House specials, served in the dining room. The dining room can be used by guests and it has a espresso coffee machine and a microwave. The self catering apartment has a full sized oven / grill, four ring hob and a separate microwave oven. Rowan House B&B Rooms & A Self Catering Apartment is around 50 miles from Glasgow Airport and around 60 miles from Oban, where ferries depart to the Isle of Mull. The small village of Lochgoilhead is a 10-minute drive away, with 2 pubs, a post office and village store, as well as a scenic 9-hole golf course. We both have the B&B rooms and a Self Catering Apartment. There are also outdoor exercise equipment such as, Air Walker, Arm and Peddle Bike, all of which are facing Loch Goil.

With a proven track record in delivering great customer experience and with 30 years in the property business, a great combination to deliver first class bed and breakfast accommodation tailored to your needs. The recent pandemic has had a significant impact on our daily lives which has shaped the way we shop, how we access medical services and of course our leisure activities and tourism. We have created our Sleeping Safe & Sound Charter that we hope will provide you with the added assurance for your forthcoming stay. The charter sets out the key measures we have taken and also the key role that you play to ensure that you sleep well and stay safe - You will be sent this 7 days prior to your arrival. Property information

Rowan House is situated in Carrick Castle, 4:5 miles on from 'Lochgoilhead'. At the water's edge in Rowan House garden, there is room to sit and relax, listen to the birds, water and enjoy the views, you may even spot the odd seal! Guests can use available seating, and can bring disposable BBQ to the beach. This grassed garden leads onto our shingle beach, you can fish from here. There is a gated slipway should you like to bring a boat and mooring. Free parking and you can store bicycles / canoes at the rear of the house. Please note that the self catering apartment is listed as such, and all other rooms are B&B rooms - All our rooms are well equipped e.g fridges, smart TVs, and note that we have standard UK double bed sizes. Loch Goil has a resident seal colony and porpoises are seen. There's great fishing plus its sheltered aspect makes it ideal for kayaking & sailing or simply cruising. If you enjoy wildlife there are many different types of birds including Golden Eagles as well as Red Squirrels. There is a range of walks to suit all abilities through ancient woodlands, along the shore or up high among the hills. A golf course in Lochgoilhead only a few miles from Rowan House.

Neighbourhood information

The village of 'Carrick Castle' is surrounded by stunning hills and mountains located at the edge of the loch of 'Loch Goil' , We have an abundance of wildlife both on land and in the sea . Just before you get to the village there is a boat hire where you can enjoy a cruise on the loch and try your hand at sea fishing should you wish . Whilst there are no pubs or restaurants in the village, in nearby Lochgoilhead about 4.5miles from Rowan House, there is 'The Goil Inn' or 'The View' at Drimsynie where you can get an evening meal. Also not far from Rowan House there is the wonderful Boat Shed Cafe which has first class food, coffee / cakes, with great hospitatlity from Michelle and Richard - and hire a boat to cruise the loch. Around the village there are hill tracks for you to explore and take in the magnificent scenery. There is canoe/kayak hire available in Carrick Castle and a nearby golf course in Lochgoilhead. There is all-year-round free of charge fishing in the loch and fishing along the river Goil is possible with permits available from Lochgoilhead Post Office. This is a place of great peacefulness that will energise your spirit and nourish your wellbeing
