Sedgewell Barn is run by husband and wife team, Stuart and Catherine Tweddle, between them and their daughters, they run Sedgewell Barn along with a friendly and helpful team. Sedgewell Barn is located within 60-acres of rolling countryside in the heart of rural North Yorkshire. The site is home to deluxe glamping pods and The Nest, a beautiful, luxury one-bedroom country cottage. It is also home to the family's small farm, including Pedro the pony, Mr Fuzzy Face and his Valais Blacknose Sheep friends, and the family dog and cats!

Sedgewell Barn is tucked away in a secluded part of our idyllic Yorkshire farm, making it easy for you to forget about the busy working week and relax in peace and quiet. Our deluxe glamping pods have their own private, outdoor bubbly hot tubs with a stylish timber canopy and fairy lights. We have ten pods which sleep up to 4 guests, and one accessible lodge which sleeps up to 5 guests. Internally they are fully heated with en-suite shower-room, double bed, pull-out double bed settee and fully equipped kitchenette, the 5-birth lodge also has a single bed. There is a private outdoor dining area for each pod which includes a fire & BBQ pit with tree trunk stools and a picnic table, with each pod having a designated parking space. We are child and dog friendly, with an enclosed play area, wide open spaces for games and dog walking paths aplenty. Whether your ideal glamping break is all about action and adventure in the countryside, catching up with friends or a quiet romantic getaway - the perfect glamping holiday is waiting for you at Sedgewell Barn. There are many public footpaths to explore from the glamping site, or for those wanting to head a little further afield, there's Sutton Bank or Osmotherley to explore. There are bike racks on site for guests wanting to explore on two wheels, with road cycling being very popular in Yorkshire following the Tour de France Grand Depart! For days out, Sedgewell Barn is located 2-miles from Northallerton train station with regular trains to Durham and York. A short drive away is Newby Hall & Gardens, Middleham Castle and the World of James Herriot. Or for our younger guests there's Big Sheep Little Cow Farm, Lightwater Valley or Stockeld Park, all a short car ride away.
