This late 1700s canal side cottage is located within the grounds of Finsley Gate Wharf. Finsley Gate Wharf was once at the heart of Lancashire's Industrial Revolution and was granted over 3 million pounds for a total regeneration, completed in September 2021. The cottage, once the turnbridge keeper's home, is part of this regeneration and has been lovingly restored into a modern, quiet, yet centrally located guesthouse, a great place for reunions with easy access to local attractions. Our late 1700s 2 storey cottage is a very grand version of a large, detached 2-up 2-down house. We have divided the guesthouse into 4 rooms - 2 en-suite bedrooms and 2 large suites. This is a small unique guesthouse with just 4 room options. Like a hotel, all rooms have locks and you are also given a key to the cottage and the gate to the grounds of Finsley Gate Wharf. DESCRIPTION: The Sparks Family Suite, 2 Rooms With En-suite, Sleeps 6 This is an ideal room for family and friends. It is clean, modern, very comfortable and has been lovingly restored. Located on the first floor, there are 2 rooms and a bathroom. The largest room of the Sparks Suite has new wooden flooring, a built-in dining table that can seat up to 6 guests and 2 sofa beds that can sleep up to 4 guests. There are tea and coffee making facilities with 6 mugs, 6 tumblers, 6 short glasses, 6 champagne glasses, 6 wine glasses, and a fridge with a freezer. There is a desk/dressing table with mirror, hairdryer, lamp and extension lead for charging phones and laptops, there is also space for hanging and storing clothes. The bedroom is entered via a door with steps leading into the room. The bedroom comprises 1 built-in wardrobe, double bed, and 2 bedside tables there is also an additional desk/dressing table in this room.
