Around 30 minutes’ drive from Aberystwyth, The White Lion Hotel is a traditional Welsh inn in the town of Machynlleth. The bar and restaurant offer cask ales and home-cooked food, and there is free WiFi throughout the property and on-site parking. Rooms have a TV, alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are en-suite and provide complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served each morning from 08:00 – 09:30, this includes a Welsh breakfast. Lunch and dinner are served in the oak-beamed restaurant or bar, with the menu featuring fresh produce from local farms. The White Lion Hotel is just outside the Snowdonia National Park, and 15 miles from the coastal town of Tywyn with its extensive sandy beach. The pretty market town of Dolgellau is 25 minutes’ drive away. The nearest trains station is Machynlleth, 7 minutes' walk from the hotel.
