A lovely family run hotel. All staff were really friendly and helpful.
Food was brilliant especially the breakfast!!!
Evening bar food was great, especially the home made lasagne and Gammon steak.
Great location and a short walk to the port. Bull Bay just around the corner and easy to get to many local attractions.
Definitely recommend and we will certainly be going back soon!!

first class location ,friendly and helpful staff ,nice comfortable and warm hotel. The food was very good both breakfast and evening meal. The evening meal is in the Bay View Restaurant which is very popular with locals( always a good sign). Varied range of options and a good bar. Lovely grounds to walk around, very peaceful scenic.

A small place with very nice and different scenery has some historical bits too see and a nice small harbour. There are many activities taking place in the area and can spend more days in Amlwch to visit nearby areas with beautiful landscape.

The town of Amlwch is nothing special.
The town of Amlwch is nothing special. In fact there is very little here at all. You can access nice coastal walks from the town and obviously it is easy to get to all the lovely beaches of Anglesey.

This was a good centre to explore other places on the Island from but it's not somewhere I would stay again - although the hotel was amazing. The town looked as if it had been left behind after what was probably a successful industrial past. There was nothing to do there and very limited choice for other places to eat out.

We really like Amlwch and the surrounding places on the north coast of Anglesey. Fantastic views, coastal walks and beaches.
Recommend a walk around Parys mountain (Copper Kingdom) - a lovely walk with interesting history and amazing views. Sadly the museum about the history of Copper mining in this area, located by Amlwch harbour never seems to be open.

Amlwch is not worth a visit , there was a very poor tea room which was frankly ghastly , the place is interesting to hear about but a total bore to visit. We both felt the Lastra motel was in the wrong location.
After a meal we didn't enjoy at astra we went the following evening to the Boathouse in Red wharf which was half the price but very much better and enjoyable.
It must be added that the dogs had a wonderful stay with their toys and the fields around perfect for pets they are made very welcome it would have been to have had the same attention
Sincerely

Excellent location for all that Anglesey has to offer, and locally the walks are excellent, nice pub at the bottom of the road, beautiful scenery, lovely little bay to walk down to. And if you get the chance go and visit lligwy beach, great walks to nearby bays. Great food to be found at sea shanty past Holyhead, fish and chips from moelfre, and a nice coffee at Anne’s pantry also in moelfre. Go out towards the mountains for some action at Zip World and the mountain coaster. Anglesey, who wouldn’t want to visit.
Our room was compact but contained everything we needed including plenty of space for our clothes. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We found all of the staff in the hotel to be helpful and very pleasant. Breakfasts were excellent and plenty to eat. We dined in the hotel too and each of the five dinners we had was well prepared, tasty and chosen from a varied menu. Altogether excellent value for money . It is a hotel where you feel at home and welcome; we will stay again next time we wish to stay on Anglesey.
The hotel is situated in Amlwch in the north of Anglesey. We stayed here as we wanted to bring our children to Anglesey for a stop over before we returned home. We had 2 double rooms with ensuite and they were both spotlessly clean, very comfy and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was excellent, staff were friendly no complaints. Breakfast was also fantastic and I would recommend the Full Welsh breakfast. Great place to stay
Super friendly and helpful staff. I was very happy with the hotel and the level of service. It’s not a 5 star hotel but I knew that before booking.
The hotel is centrally located and convenient for what I needed.
After a long day hiking they very kindly prepared me some hot food which was much appreciated.
I would definitely stay here again.
Really lovely hosts made the stay exceptional. The room was clean and spacious and breakfast was excellent. Quiet and slightly remote location meant we slept really well and we very much appreciated the lift into Amlwch in the morning (no charge, but we would have happily paid extra for that).
