The property was situated opposite a small lake and had a nice terrace for having a drink from their bar on a sunny day. Our room was spacious, decorated in a modern style and well equipped. Breakfast was very nice too.

Generally quite like Llandrindod wells, some parts better than others. I especially like the lake area. The Llanerch Inn is a nice pub with good food. Next time I would avoid staying near a pub on a weekend as it was very noisy until 2.30 am at the pub opposite.

I really wanted to write about the Hotel (Hampton Hotel) and the reception I received. I knew I was going to arrive very late: I estimated 11.30, so I phoned forward to apologise. Reception closes at 11.00, but I was told I'd be in Room 6, how to get there and where its key would be. It worked beautifully.
Llandrindod Wells is a neat little town, but I was only there to sleep before going to a dog show at Builth Wells: about seven miles away. The area is hilly with narrow winding roads: very pleasant pasture farming. I'll have to go again, and I will.

The hotel was perfect for my one night stay which was to enable me to attend a disco at the nearby Royal British Legion Club. As I was a lady travelling alone I did not want to drive the hour's journey back home after midnight. The best recommendation I can give is that I have already booked two more night's for the same reason.

The lake is well worth the visit and within the grounds are a cafe and boats for hire as well as a sculpture mid-lake, the Rock Spa Park is worth
a visit for walking and tasting the water.
Whilst there is a train connection it is very sparce, but there are bus services to the coast, Breacon and Hereford.
Good variety of small shops and cafes.

It's an old Victorian spa town with a small lake. Although the lake and it's surrounded area has an air of the past Llandrindod Wells needs to improve its image along with the Commodore hotel,as the town has very little to offer the visitor.

We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.
The hotel overall is a quirky, "old school", independent hotel with its own charm. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, the room was clean and comfy enough but, shall we say, traditional. Certainly not modern but not a huge surprise. The bed, though a single, was actually very comfortable. I actually liked the place in a retro sort of way and it served my purpose on a business trip. The owners were great, friendly and approachable. Ample parking.
Very good full 'English' (in Wales) breakfast and the evening meals in the bar were reasonably priced and tasty. The room was warm and there was a good selection of tea/coffee and complimentary biscuits. Overall it was comfortable, warm and good value for money compared to other establishments in Llandrindod.
Staff were excellent, evening meal was superb, spa was lovely.
Room was Ok, back of the hotel, breakfast was Ok, plenty of choice, but a bit Luke warm, not very hot.
Very bad first night, however, manager Carlos gave us compensation (which was very kind) but our short 2 night break had been ruined!
The flat is within a house and is of high quality interior and comfy bed. It is located 2 minutes walking distance from from the main part of the town and train station and 5-minutes away from Tesco superstore. Excellent stop to visit a number of destinations across mid-Wales if travelling by car.
The location was great, near the high street with plenty of places to eat and an Aldi and Tesco nearby. Even a Greggs for breakfast! The apartment was equipped with everything and more and the pint of milk and biscuits were a great find at the end of a long journey.
This was situated at in a quiet location but still near the town. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The owners were very eager to please and nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was very comprehensive with everything you could wish for provided.
It is not B & B. Its in a very secluded place off common land with basically just farms near. You do need a car etc to get to any shops or pubs. I liked the peace & tranquility. You can smoke but outside the cabbin. Owners are very nice & don't bother you.
Location was perfect for our plans, we went by motorbike and the hotel let us use a lock up they had to secure our bikes - which was great. Breakfast was good. No lift so if you have bad legs opt for the first floor. Bar prices good 👍
Lovely oldie world hotel with all modern conveniences.
Breakfast buffet is high quality and quiet varied.
Showers are some of the best I've ever used and are fantastic after a days walking or climbing.
Very peaceful location and reasonably close to Llandrindod Wells, albeit not walkable. Great for days out on the Brecon Beacons and for exploring the Elan Valley and other areas of mid Wales
We ate at the inn and were happy with the choice of food on the menu. Very Very dog friendly. Superb staff who made our stay easier. Happy to stay again.
