The 55sq.m. residence on the first floor, with a tiled roof, a low height loft and a terrace of 12sq.m., was recently fully renovated and is available for anyone who wants to enjoy it in the absolute peace and captivating beauty of the Corfu countryside. The residence has three bedrooms of 10sq.m. each and a comfortable fully equipped kitchen of 13sq.m. with a dining area, which was redesigned to facilitate a large group of 6 people. At the large table, 1.80m long, the group can both dine and entertain themselves, playing board games, listening to music or watching TV. All the walls of the residence have been coated with natural mortars, "colours of the earth" that give the space a unique warmth and lend the residence a distinct identity. The bathroom, although functional, is small, which might be difficult for some. With an entrance half a metre wide, it is reminiscent of a nest with a view of the Ionian Sea that our ancestors crammed under the wooden staircase that leads with 12 relatively steep steps to the loft and the rooftop terrace of the residence. In the bathroom, the small window with a view to the sea allows a cool sea breeze to enter the room, while the 1.15cm x 45cm shower accommodates two people with relative comfort. We did not change the positioning of the bathroom, so as not to modify the ancestral architecture. We compromised with the narrowness of the specific space so as to maintain the ability to accommodate a greater number of people. During your stay in the residence, you will have the opportunity to spend beautiful moments of relaxation in the loft as well as in the dining area on the rooftop terrace, gazing at the boats crossing the sea to the east and the small white church of Evangelistria dominating the mountain to the west as well as the impressive ruins of an old church next to it. At night, the vaulted pergola, which intentionally remains uncovered, offers a mesmerising view of the starry sky.

The residence is part of a circular architectural complex of an old mansion that was at its height about 100 years ago and was located in the centre of a very rich productive community in a natural paradise with running spring water, orchards with lemon trees, orange trees, vines and a great number of olive trees. Today, this complex is a quiet neighbourhood, home to a very small number of peaceful locals. At a distance of 150 metres from the coastal provincial road, this elevated property has views to the east of the mountainous continental coast opposite, and the sea, which is less than 200 metres away, while behind it is a verdant mountain range 450m high, behind which the warm summer sun rests in the late afternoon, offering refreshingly cool shade after 6:00 p.m. Our small settlement literally borders on the verdant mountain with its olive and cypress trees. The paths on its wooded slopes lead both to the small church of Evangelistria and further south to the small church of Taxiarchis and are directly accessible for hiking. The village of Benitses, a tourist resort, is situated about two kilometres away in the direction of Corfu Town. At the same distance in the other direction, going south, you will meet Agios Ioannis Peristeron, and a little further away Moraitika and Messonghi, where you can find easily accessible beaches, restaurants and shops for all purposes. You will need a car for these trips, as the road is not suitable for pedestrians due to the heavy traffic and absence of a pavement. There is outdoor private parking available on a quiet road of the settlement directly opposite the residence. Should you be without a car, you can choose to travel into town by public transport. The bus stop (Spyros), one stop before the terminus on bus line 6, is just a 3-minute walk away.
