Lemon tree’s house is located at Kalavarda, a small traditional village by the coastline, 16 km away from Rhodes International Airport and 30 km away from the town of Rhodes. It is an independent semi-detached apartment on the ground floor and consists of two separate double bedrooms, a spacious living room including a dining table, a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom, a hall, and one veranda in the front. This apartment is luminous and comfortable and it can be an exceptional choice for a group of friends, a family with children, or a couple wanting to relax and enjoy nature. It is also ideal for kite-surfing lovers as it benefits from being only a 10-min walk from one of Rhodes renowned kite-surfing spots. The living room is equipped with three relaxing couches, a TV, and a dining table, while the kitchen is equipped with an oven and a hob, a fridge and freezer, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee-machine, and all the kitchen cookware and utensils. An iron table, a steam iron, a washing machine and free Wi-Fi are included.
Lemon tree’s house is managed and owned by Dimos and Kiki, a retired couple of former primary school teacher living on an independent apartment on the first floor. Dimos and Kiki enjoy swimming and going for long walks, and have their own plot of land where they organically grow their own fruits and vegetables, a small treat of which you will be able to enjoy upon arrival!
Kalavarda is known for its traditional meat and fish taverns. The house is a 5 min walk from the central square of the village which also has a convenience store and a café/bistro. Kalavarda is ideal for those who want to combine the fresh air of a morning hike with the breeze of a walk by the coastline. An organised kite-surfing station is located just a 10 min walk away from the house. For the history fans, Ancient Kamiros, an acropolis build in the 5th century BC, is located just 4km away. Rhodes Island is famous for the number of traditional festivals, called "paniyiria", taking place at various villages. Here at Kalavarda, we have our own traditional "paniyiri" every year on the 24 July where you can have a taste of Greek cuisine and culture. We look forward to meeting you!
