Luxury Apartment Olea is a bright spacious modern 2 bedroom apartment that can sleep up to a maximum of 5 guests + baby/toddler. 4 in two bedrooms (king size and double/twin) and 1 on a sofa bed in the Lounge. This first floor modern apartment is complemented with a wraparound balcony and sea views. This apartment is perfect for a romantic break away for couples and is a great holiday home for families. The nearest Beach is just 800 metres away.
Afandou Village is located 2km from the coast, 5km from the bustling resort of Faliraki and 20km from Rhodes Town. Afandou is one of the largest and oldest villages on the island, boasting a population of approximately 7,500 people. Despite its size, Afandou has retained its authentic character and is a hub for traditional Greek life. Afandou is safely situated so that it could not be seen from the sea, which is what gave it its name; afanto is the Greek for invisible. The village’s hidden location kept it safe from pirates that caused havoc raiding coastal towns in the Mediterranean at the time of its founding. Today, visitors are greeted by a vibrant town full of bars, cafés, restaurants, and shops. Be sure to visit the main square, where friendly locals gather, and you can immerse yourself in the warm, hospitable culture of the village. Even though the village has been discovered by tourists, it hasn’t lost its Greek feel. In the village square you’ll find the most interesting building in the village, the Church of Our Lady Katholiki, which is adorned with 17th century paintings. In peak season visitors can hop on a small road-train, which runs between the village square and the beach 2km away. Afandou beach is one of the least spoiled and longest beaches in Rhodes. At 4km long, you won’t be wanting for a quiet spot to enjoy the warm, calm water, soak up the sun, or try some water sports. Adventurous travelers can explore the rocky areas and caves on the far left side of the beach. Although there are a few hotels in the village, most visitors opt to stay in one of the several holiday apartments to experience the local lifestyle firsthand.
