Our house is situated in Posidi, Chalkidiki. It is located on the top of a hill, only 800 meters far away from the beach. It is a house which faces the sun and the sea. From our spacious balconies one can enjoy a panoramic view over the sea which is surrounded by pine trees as well as the sunset falling into the sea. The house is recently renovated, and is furnished in a Mediterranean minimal style. It is ideal for families or for couples.
On the west side, in less than 2 km, there is the Temple of Poseidon that is located on a narrow pass near the sea. Very close to the temple there is the lighthouse, which was built in 1864.It is a beautiful landscape where one can view the fields, and there is also a remarkable church of the Virgin Mary, which was built in 1619. It’s a very interesting church because in its interior there are some wall paintings that present the life and crucifixion of Jesus. Posidi has a lot of beaches wich are sandy with characteristic blue waters. Some of them are organized and some not. The most known beach is the "Mytis" beach, in front of the " Cape Lighthouse". It is a natural phenomenon of sand deposition on the cape and it is very popular for its unique beauty.
In Posidi as well as in the greater region there are a lots of picturesque taverns, fish taverns, restaurants, café, bars, clubs, super markets, butcher shops and the hospitality of the habitants which promises unforgettable vacations. Generally, Kalandra (Posidi) offers a variety of activities during the whole year that the active cultural union of the village organizes. (theatre, painting exhibitions, dances, excursions, folklore exhibitions, e.t.c.).
