Julio’s cabana was newly built and very spacious. He just finished the new porch overhang the day before my arrival! I really liked the rustic feel of the home, and how private it was. I was the only one on the property during my stay. I stayed in the private room, but took a look upstairs at the loft. There are multiple beds in an open floor layout, with mosquito netting to ensure a comfortable sleep. There are kayaks available for a small extra fee, making getting around on the river very easy - especially if you have friends nearby, would like to visit the thermal waters, or grab dinner at Restaurante Viajero. Julio also has a well stocked kitchen if you will be doing your own cooking, as well as an EcoFilter water purifier. Loved my stay! Thank you Julio and your family for making me feel welcome.

Julio was lovely and the place is as shown. A lovely basic homestay in the middle of nowhere. We were basically the only people staying when we came which was lovely but I can imagine it could feel crowded if it was busy. There's a small shop 2 mins walk through the jungle where you can buy staples but only occasionally has fruit/veg. You're in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do apart from admiring the beauty around you, perfect for what we wanted but don't expect lots to do! Can go swimming in the river.

Large well-equipped kitchen. Most of the time we had the house to ourselves and it was great to have a kitchen, a livingroom, a porch and a balcony. There's no staff unless you call - we loved it, but it's good to know 😊 Julio, the owner, is just so sweet and helpful.

De lokatie was prachtig. Dichtbij Rio lampera wat een rustige rivier is waar je kan kayakken. Julio helpt je graag om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Regelt kayaks, evt een dagtocht en vervoer naar je volgende lokatie. Er is een keuken waar je zelf kan koken. Neem wel je boodschappen mee. Je gaat de rivier op, er is een winkeltje in de buurt, maar dan moet je door moeras, water enz. niet echt handig dus.

Es un lugar tranquilo para pasar los días, apartado como a una hora en lancha de Río Dulce, perfecto si buscas descansar, parar un poco, estar tranquilo. Julio es una gran persona, el lugar es muy bonito, pocas habitaciones, cómodo. Lo recomiendo si te gusta la paz. Trae comida, está un poco apartado para ir a comprar todos los días.
