Nanajuana Río Dulce has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and bar in Río Dulce. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge, a garden and barbecue facilities.... The hotel is actually much nicer than the photos. Our room was upgraded and we were given an amazing room right next to the water and marina. The pool is large and very clean, And the food at the restaurant was excellent, really good quality, so although a little more expensive than in some places, it was definitely worth it.

Located in Río Dulce, 3.9 miles from Castle of San Felipe de Lara, Hotel Hacienda Tijax Jungle Logde provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. I’ve been travelling for 6 months and so far this is my favourite hotel. it’s totally beautiful. Surrounded my jungle and wildlife, including crocodiles. I met one big croc and watched him for half hour. Was one of my highlights of my trip. The food here is really really good. I enjoyed every single meal. Delicious! The staff are all super friendly and although I don’t speak Spanish they really did not mind.So many places I stay won’t help. The cleaners are also really kind. It’s very fast to get a boat over to the town but it’s so nice in the hotel I didn’t bother much. The pool is clean and lovely too. The trip up the river to Livingston is breathtaking. I liked it so much I stayed longer. let’s not forget the two ginger cats that followed me about and sat on my lap every morning. They made me feel very at home, as I miss my own cats.

Beautiful remote location with many jungle lodges (from super remote to more public) along the river. Great jungle hikes, caves, kayaking with plenty of nature and wildlife. Definitely a required stop when visiting Guatemala, will visit again!
Busy, dirty but you can get relatively cheap food in local restaurants. There are boat tours around but we didn't try any. A lot of touts around. The only bus is Litegua company. Go to the station to ask for the bus schedule if you know where you want to go after Rio Dulce. Not much to see in this small river town.
The scenery is fantastic, and so is the local food. The traffic was rough in town, but given the location as a pathway between regions it is understandable. There is lots of activity in the market on weekends and seems to be some nightlife as well.
the Main Street is chaotic, loud and hot, so stay a little away from there, like at Casa Perico, or somewhere else in the jungle. Check out Finca El Paraiso, a natural hot springs waterfall. Also, El Boqueron is a beautiful canyon and I’m surprised more people don’t visit it.
A very quiet and beautiful setting down a lagoon off the main lake. Our cabin was large with a good bathroom area and lots of ventilation. Loved the setting with the cabins on stilts over the backwaters. The restaurant on site was very good and the hotel offered numerous boat trips to Rio dulce daily. Staff are numerous and very attentive. We spent a week there and enjoyed every day.
We enjoyed our stay at El Hotelito Perdido a lot! The host family and staff were very welcoming and provided us with fresh food from their garden. Every evening, all guests and the host family ate dinner together, which made the atmosphere very familiar! And the food was delicious! We also enyojed the beatuiful and quiet location in the jungle. Definetly a hostel to recommend!
We loved how close the hotel was to the lake and that everything was clean. Having AC was a definite bonus, as was the relaxing hammock on the front porch of the hotel. It had everything we needed without unnecessary frills. Wifi worked well too, as did water pressure and water temperature regulation.
Río Dulce
An amazing, quite place with a great staff and delicious food. The location is close to Rio Dulce town but far enough away to be secluded. The have a boat that picks you up for free and the staff helped with lots of questions about tours and transportation to Honduras.
Río Dulce
Liesel was awesome and communicative. The food was outstanding (did a 4 course dinner with wine pairing), and the whole vibe of the hotel was relaxed and modern while still being an eco lodge.
The staff was very helpful. However, due to two hurricanes, the hotel was partially underwater and no one gave us advance notice, nor did they offer a discount.
Meals are always great and the staff is super friendly. The location is amazing, especially because you can drive all the way to the hotel.
Location just next to river. You can take boat to livingston directly from hotel's garden. Rooms were clean. Nice pool
