Our family
The 300-year-old stone walls are cool in summer and keep warm in winter. We designed it in such a way that up to four families or a larger group of friends can really feel at home together. During the renovation, we combined the architectural traditions of the founding German settlers with our own functional and aesthetic expectations. We equipped the kitchen with beautiful unique ceramics, glasses, and professional cookware. Every corner of the huge garden hides romantic surprises. Shaded rest areas, sunny groves, covered terraces, gazebo, fireplace and a 120m2 barn, the same age as the house, where you can play table tennis, do yoga, and hold community events. In the silence of nature, the property away from the hustle and bustle is a real relaxation.
My wife is a designer and design manager and I am an architect. We designed and furnished the house together with great love, shaping its final form over many years. We have five children, we like to play sports, be in nature and travel. As long as our beloved vacation home is rented out, we get into our RV and go out into the world.
The Balaton-highlands area has a unique atmosphere comparable to Tuscany. Small and friendly villages, surrounded by quiet, untouched nature. Plenty of opportunities for excursions, cycling, horse riding and, due to the proximity of Lake Balaton, water sports. The Balaton beaches surrounding Tihany are a quarter of an hour away, and the cultural life of Veszprém is a 20-minute drive away. There are nice wine cellars and restaurants in the area.
