Great location amongst padi fields. Walkable to the bus station. Minimart a few minutes away. Lots of eateries around. A short stroll to Borobudur Temple. Simple good size room and toilet with strong aircon. Dated TV set with only Indonesian channels. Honestly cannot expect too much for the price I paid. Simple breakfast provided. Tours to Selo griyo and the villages are great, thanks to Nuri and Singga (I think that is his name.) Staff is very polite and friendly. My room is on the side of the main road. Traffic noise can be loud. For light sleeper, pls pay more for quieter rooms at the back facing the padi fields.

Jack has several hobbies : drawing,painting,batik painting,social working,conservative,etc. He and friends created JAKER Borobudur Tourism Network as a group of local guides and activists in the village of Borobudur.They try to create harmony and balance between tourism and conservation of the area of Borobudur.

We let the guest integrate to the local people and feel at home,there is balcony as sitting area to enjoy free cup of tea or coffee and with rice field view. Located near to Borobudur Temple and walking distance.

Activities in Borobudur : - Borobudur sunrise view spot : a) Borobudur sunrise fro a small hill :leave from the hotel at 04.30 , 20 minutes drive , to the west side of Borobudur temple , there is a small hill to enjoy the sun rise , with a Borobudur temple and merapi volcano and merbabu as a background. b) Borobudur sunrise from the Borobudur temple : leave from manohara hotel at 04.30 A.M , and you can get the ticket straight away from manohara hotel . - Mendut meditation leaving from the hotel at 18.45 , 10 minute drive, first we go to the Buddhist monastery , joint the monks reading the chanting , and after continue to do meditation , this tour to get you to have spiritual experience . - Selo griyo tour : 4 hours trip , exploring the hidden java with huge rice terraces ,beautiful and easy walk , the end of the walk is small Hindu temple , normally we go by motor bike . - Tour de village To explore the villages around Borobudur temple , nice to cycle to see the local life while integrate with their activities to visit tahu (tofu) village , pottery village,etc.
