No 70 is a hidden gem situated in the peaceful and tranquil setting of Upper Lough Erne. Belturbet 3km. Cavan 20km Enniskillen 40km Dublin 90mins Belfast 120mins Slieve Russel PGA golf club, Hotel and spa. 12km Cuilcagh Geopark with Stairway to Heaven and Marble Arch Caves 30km A truly magical location to explore this undiscovered part of Ireland.
I’m a mother of 3 adult sons and have 2 beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy painting and being creative. Interior design is also a passion of mine, hopefully, you will enjoy this when you come to stay in my home. I love the outdoors, cycling, and walking. Looking forward to meeting new people. If not traveling myself, I would be delighted to help and guide my guests so that they get the best out of their stay in this beautiful part of Ireland.
Belturbet is a beautiful small country village on the Erne/Shannon waterway. It is very popular with fishermen and boating, with its own jetties and adjacent marina where boat hire is available. There are many walks and trails in the village, where you can meander along the banks of the river. Turbet Island is a beautiful walk featuring artwork by local Cavan artist Jackie O'Neil. Castle Saunderson is a 10-minute drive away where you can see local wildlife and a haunting castle, particularly in the evening when dusk descends. In the village there is a good variety of bars and Cafes, Cafe Nua serves wonderful cakes and pastries which is their specialty as well as light lunches and good coffee. The Seven Horseshoes is a great place to enjoy excellent bar food and enjoy the craic with the locals, it has unique decor, and in those winter months a warm fire and welcome awaits. The Castle bar offers good food and live sport and has a new restaurant serving good food. At the weekend you can enjoy live music in The Widows or The Railway Tavern, at the far end of town is the Yukon a local pub. if you want to go further afield there is a direct bus service to Dublin airport and the city. There is also a local bus service to explore an abundance of local towns and villages.
